We welcome one and all to the Welsh National Championships 2025!
We are pleased to confirm that following conversations with the NAF TD Stimme, the Welsh National Championships will be a NAF National in 2025 with the ELO boost that this comes with pending the end of year review - https://www.thenaf.net/tournaments/majors/

Parking:
There is limited parking at the venue plus some on Bessemer Road which is at the crossroads a couple of hundred yards down Sloper Road from Firestorm games.
Allan's' printers is not open at the weekend and some patrons seem to use that on busy days, it is next to Firestorm Games but this is at your own risk.
There is also the large retail park just behind Firestorm Games by Cardiff City's stadium with a public path that connects to Sloper Road. Parking there is only for limited time and no return but you can park in the Asda car park there and pay for the day or weekend.

What do you get:
6 rounds of Blood Bowl, food both days
What should you bring: Your team which must be painted to 3 colours minimum, based and WYSIWYG, proxies are allowed but must be themed to match as a team and positions must be clearly identifiable, a pitch, your dice, any relevant markers, tokens, templates and gifts for your lovely organisers and referees
Rules:
The latest GW ruleset will be used along with the latest spike. All teams approved by the NAF are allowed. Rounds will be Swiss as per the Tiebreakers and the tournament will be Resurrection so all players fully healed after every game
Team value:
1.2 mil
Team building rules:
Only teams in tier 3 may take maximum of 2 stars and only once the team has 11 starting players. Star Player duo's count as 1 star. All stars are subject to the Highlander rule, if both opponents take Morg for example, they both sit out the match and fight on the sidelines as there can be only one. No journeymen, no special play cards and no mercenaries but all other inducements are allowed subject to the team restrictions. Each team will get a free team mascot as per page 39 of Death Zone, Sheepy Reroll!
Skills:
Each team has 48 spp to distribute amongst its players. There are no random skills and no stat increases allowed but players can take primaries, secondaries and stack skills as per the spp cost in the Advancements Table
Deadline:
The deadline for payments and rosters is midnight on 31st December 2024.
Tournament Scoring:
3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 for a loss & -15 for conceding
Tiebreakers:
In order of head to head, strength of schedule, touchdown difference, casualty difference, chicken
Prizes:
Winner, Runner Up, Third Place, Most Touchdowns, Most Casualties, Stunty Cup Winner, Top Welsh Player, Best Painted, Best Painted Sheepy Reroll/Shearleader
Timings:
All rounds will last a maximum of 2 hours and 15 mins and will be called by the referees should that time expire. If you or an official think that your game will not be completed within that time a time clock will be enforced and i’d recommend downloading one for your phone beforehand.
