Painting - Pro-Painting?

So I have a question I was wondering about and would like to get some input on.

What's the general consensus from the blood-bowl community on having your team painted by someone else (i.e. a "Pro-Painter")?

The only reason I ask is that I've been slowly accumulating miniatures for a Chaos team that I'm envisioning.

I normally wouldn't bother with appearance much, but so far the average cost per mini has been ~$10+. I've been inclinded to grab games-day models and Oop old models that I like and I just feel it would be a shame to put a poor paint on such rare & good looking minis.

Just wanted to get some feedback on how the Blood Bowl community views this. Thanks.

Hi,

I think most people are fine with getting others to do your paint jobs as long as you aren't going ot be entering any competitions and passing the work off as your own. It's always nice to see well painted, rare models getting used!

I agree with CoffinDodger. Plus it's always nice to just sit back and watch your team get painted when your the one not having to do it Very Happy.

my human team are painted by someone else, purely because they are my favourite and i can't paint well enough to do them justice. I don't see the problem

Hey Tony, this is Jon from the Underworld Cup. Nothing wrong with having mini's painted by someone else. Hopefully the owner of this team will let any tournament organizer or league commish know however so it cannot be voted on for best painted.

It's fun to see very nicely painted models out there. I'm not a great painter and I do enjoy doing most of my own work but I have bought my share of painted models myself. Recently I paied somseone to paint up 18 daemonettes for 40k that I just could not feel I could do and still have them look like I wanted them to.
