Hi there,

Can't await to be there, but I have one question. We arrive at arrount 2pm at heathrow and rent a car to drive to nottingham. google suggests to take M25 and then M1(which looks logical) and tells me to expect a travel time of approx 2h18.

So how realistic is this? are there many commuters that try go get out of london friday afternoon?

I remember that the austrian players got picked up by indigo, doubleskulls,.. some years ago and it took ages. Back then there was heavy road works that caused this.

Either way mate - allow 3 hours. You wont know the roads but whilst London wont be that hard to leave at that time, you will be getting to Nottingham around the busy period (4.30 to 6)

When going to Nottingham for the Blood Bowl, I normally hit Nottingham about that time, and it's taken me over an hour in the past to travel the last 4 or 5 miles to GW HQ.
So be perpared for delays (especially near the power station).

Also bear in mind that the M1 has roadworks (and a 50mph average speed limit) all the way from the M25 (Junction 6a) to Luton, (Junction 10) I do that stretch fairly often and sometimes it can get pretty bad with queues and traffic.

I will be coming up from London and was going to go by train but was told it was very expensive and I would be better catching a coach. Can someone tell me if that is the best way for me to go?
