NAF World Cup - NAF World Cup Results by Round - *** Please Review ***

Old_Man_Monkey - Oct 24, 2007 - 03:23 AM
Post subject: NAF World Cup Results by Round - *** Please Review ***
The NAF World Cup staff would like for each coach to review the Match Results by Round for any errors or ommissions.

Please do NOT report Table errors - many matches were switched to balance the teams and the information is not critical. What ARE critical are the results: race, opponent, TDs and CAS... please review these results carefully. This list will remain available for at least ten (10) days so that coaches can review the list.

Please report any concerns via email to Ian Williams at:

doubleskulls@gmail.com

and CC to Lycos (Dave Downes) and me.

Again as always, thanks to everyone for making this weekend so magical and so special.
I trust and hope that everyone has returned home safely... until we see each other again.

Kithor - we will do this after everyone has reviewed the round by round information and the coaches data, my friend.... Ian sent these sheets along so we could put them up while he returns with his family to Australia... Lycos also is on holiday and he has the raw data sheets so once they are checked versus any information posted or emailed, we will post a DRAFT finish. All of this is preparation for the mammoth task of entering this tournament into the NAF ranking system....

Well, my last match is not correct. I won 2-1 (actually my opponent, Laurent, rolled many awful dice, so it would have been a wonder if he had won it after all, although he played a good game under these circumstances...). However, I've already written an e-mail yesterday, but haven't gut your adress and Lyco's.

In the ceremony when Jim announce the third place the fact that nobody shouts and claims for the prize and my limited English understanding makes me think that Jim said fbbles instead fbb france. And nobody strip the medals from our hands, we have talk to Jim as soon as we saw the stands and notice our error.

Finally just give my excuses to the staff and anybody offended with this.

Best regards, Frikipe.

Hi my round 7 (table Skavenblight 110) againt Navarre is not correct :
I score twice.
So the result is draw, the score is 2-2 (0 casuality for navarre, and 1 for me) and not 2-1 as indicated.

So EVERYONE knows: The mistake of announcing the 3rd place team was mine and mine alone - when the FBB team did not respond, I thought that I had misread the notes from Ian and when I looked at Frikipe, I could tell he was not sure either. The error was mine and I am the ONLY one reponsible - Frikipe and the rest of the FUMBBL Esp team were complete gentleman and very gracious - they came to me when the results were posted and offered to return their medals. Their grace and sportsmanship were perfect, and their understanding of the error was among the finest sports gestures I've ever witnessed. I will forever be grateful to this team for their help and sportsmanship at a time where they could have caused dissent and tension and marred an otherwise beautiful event - they have my eternal thanks.

I am sure David did not mean any slight with his post - I believe his team is grateful that the error was corrected so quickly and that the team's medals are headed to their rightful home. But everyone should give a tip of respect to Team FUMBBL's handling of the situation and their perfect conduct during and after the ceremony.

As I've told my compatriots since the beginning : that was obviously an involontary misunderstanding. Actually, I didn't even notice the mistake during the ceremony... And when I did, the medals were already given back. So no offense at all, we all know that the Fumbbl team is composed by great coaches with a really good spirit Smile

Hope we'll see you soon ! Wink

Looks good to me, 7th game score is alittle questionable maybe, the ref called time but the person I was playing refused to stop and then insisted on playing for another twenty mintues after time had been called. The NAF Offical took away the score card and filled it in himself so if he decided the game was over at 2-1 i'm not going to argue, I finished all my other games in sound time.

The score was 2-2 on the 14th turn when the referee come. We play only 2 turn after, and i quite mark a third td (but a failed the reception).
So the score was 2-2 and could be 3-2 for me if i succeed my last action, not 2-1 for you.
Maybe the referee didn't understand well, i don't know what happen.
Maybe you don't remember well the match?
For my part i didn't say the result to the referee.
You play untill the last turn, and i never insisted to play.

Question: some coaches wont have 9 games
Nick Games
Phobos 8
grimlock180 8
Maso 7
Valen 7
Panico 6
Rab 6
butch 6
dpwright 6
Blackrose 5
Paul Forest 5
Venomous Breath 3
Longfang 2
Lycos 1
Darkson 1

ps read out the games and calculated a list: won - tie - lost of each coach

Flix, most of them are ref (ie, me, darkson, lycos, Valen, Longfang, Venomous Breath), so we shared some teams in order to fill all the odd spots, having so different numbers of games...
Some of them just arrived on saturday for the team tournament because they were at work on friday (ie Rab and others), some arrive late on friday and missed a a game or two the first day...(ie Maso and others)... so basically it's all right.

But, as I don't know all the names on the list, we have to check if we forget to insert some match...
Lycos - Nov 09, 2007 - 03:32 AM
Post subject:
The only two I am concerned about are Phobos and Blackrose. They are each missing one game. The 3 with 6 are the Blighty Crusader School teachers who couldnt get Friday off work. There are some there who came late. Just about the rest of us are refs who filled in to match numbers as best we could.

However those two should have 9 and 6 games so I will be checking that. Thanks Flix

Is corrected now.
The match still shows as Dvarf but the rating for the match affects your wood elf rating.
