24 teams with weekly games to start off.
New teams only please.

for private leagues, create a team, then when in public league page select the team you want to join a private league with and select quit public league (which should be under public league rules on right). you can then join a league with this team.

Given the relatively small number of coaches applied so far I'm going to delete the league and re-create it for a smaller number of teams. Please reapply for the new league - same name & password.
I think its better to get going than to wait for more to join.

I sent an application. My coach name is the same: "DrunkZombie", playing a chaos team named "Unrepentant Hedonists". I noticed you had extra training turned on. I've been playing classic mode so far. How does the extra training work?

Folks - thanks for all the applications we were oversubscribed in the end. Places went on a first come first served basis.
Season 2 will start as soon as season 1 is over which will be in about 9 weeks time. If you'd like to sign up for season 2 then please post here.

I'm happy to run the first season, but unfortunately I don't really have enough time to do a good job of it. If someone has the time, energy and commitment to take on running the NAF private leagues I'm more than happy to hand it over.
Also I think the private league support is pretty poor (see the other thread about crashed games). One option is to use the modified OLBBL code that someone has begun beta testing. This I think would make a better option and something we should be seriously considering for season 2. That may entail losing all the teams from season 1 though.

I don't think that's true. Chaos are difficult at the start and against lizards its particularly bad.

Should of started your league on FUMBBL, its much better and even people with bad PC/Lap tops can play it.

you can't play cyanide matches using fumbbl which was the whole point ;]
both versions have their advantages, I stopped playing on fumbbl years ago, both kind of suck unless you play in a private league imo

Well i heard the client they used years ago was not all that good but lots of things have changed, I played on cyanide for like 3 days and had to stop it was so bad i dont see any advantage playing there

I hardly play online any more, I also wouldn't call the cyanide game bad, there is room for improvement sure but it isn't exactly bad
fumbbl has plenty of problems of its own to address
as I said both are perfectly functional though I would only bother with private leagues using either method as they currently stand
fyi if you don't know, I was one of the original admins on fumbbl back when it started ;]

Late to the party, I've just started playing Cyanide. My kids love it, they're just picking up the game and it's a lot more intuitive than Fumbbl, plus they can win against the AI, and they like the graphics. It's a win!
