Post subject: Pro-Elf starting roster?
Just wondering what the best starting roster for Pro-Elves is? At present I'm thinking of either 2 Throwers, 2 Blitzers, 3 Catchers, 4 Linemen and 2 rerolls. However another option would be 1 Thrower, 2 Blitzers, 2 Catchers, 6 Linemen, 2 rerolls and an Apothecary. Any thoughts?

It's purely for league play.

My advice would be to buy expensive players first, so 3 catchers.
The apothecary can be bought later (after your secund game)

I used to start my Pro-Elves like this:
2 Catchers
2 Blitzers
1 Thrower
6 Lineelves
3 RRs

I first purchase the apoth and after that Cathcer / Thrower / Catcher.

My favorite roster Smile

It's a TV100 league?
I prefer this roster in TV110, because you have no "choice" to do: you should start with 2Blitzer+2Catchers+3RR+Apo and 8 linemen (12 players)

in TV100, you must to do sacrifice...
The 3rd ReRoll, the Apo, or the 2nd catcher...
The catchers will score like 90% of your TD, and will get soon overskills compared to other players... But they are the most efficient when you have 2 catchers on board...

3RR for this roster is a most have. your linemen will have to do to many dodges because of the armor7...
But buying the 3rd RR will be the same price as a newcatcher...

Depending of the length of your league and depending if you start with 3 RR or not, i would take a thrower or not. .
If the league is short : don't take the thrower, it's better to do pass with players (like linemen) with the previous mvp to get some skills...
If the league is longer : i would consider starting with a thrower to get a leader RR quickly...

I would start with:
Roster A (TV99)
2 blitzers
2 catcher
7 linemans
3RR
In this case first buy would be Catcher/Apo/Linemens.
I think this roster would me my choice most of the time. It's the most efficient TV100 to my experience...

Roster B (TV100)
2 blitzers
1 catcher
8 linemans
3RR
Apo
In this case, first buy would be 2nd catcher, then 3rd catcher...
This one is to skill first other players than catchers. Consider this roster only if the league is quite long, like at lease 10 rounds before playoffs, with losts of team qualified for the playoffs.

Roster C
2bliter
3catcher
5linemen
1thrower
2RR
The best roster to win your first game... but i'm not sure you will be able to protected your 3 catchers with only 5 linemens...

Anyway, be prepare to play your 3-4 first games with looners...

i almost never buy thrower in this roster.
The High Elf and the woodelves are better quaterback...
With elves pro, i play almost like with skaven : catchers are the "gutters" playing the ball. it's not a strategy based on quaterback like the highelve one...

This is what I use too, and I REALLY like it.
Has a bit of everything.
Although I bought the Apothecary, Then both catchers, and the second Thrower last.
