Not long to go to the biggest gathering of Bloodbowl coaches in the history of the game. So where do we party? Well there isn't one bar we can all fit in. There are two areas that will cater for our eating, drinking and smoking needs. The Leidseplein area has plenty of good size restaurants, lots of bars (The Bulldog bar and coffee shop for you tourist) and some good coffee shops (De Rokerij on Leidsewarsstraat is a favourite of mine). Not far from Leiseplein is the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino.
The second area is Rembrandtplein which will be familiar with Dutch Open veterans for Cocos Outback where we watched a number of Superbowls. Rembrandplein may be a better drinking location as the bars on the plein are all quite large and could cope better with a few hundred drinkers. Also there is a large coffee shop called Coffeeshop Smokey as well as others. Lastly it's not too far from the Red Light District for any one wishing to see the sights.
See you all there and enjoy!

De Schutter will host up to 200-220 persons. We endorse it as the best social hang out during the nights. They have it exclusively for us.

They've asked a venue opposite to them to host persons as well, but since this place wants guarantees, which we can't give them, they have declined.

So, we can offer "de Schutter" as a place to hang out after everybody has had diner.
Since I'm quite sure many will hang out in the coffeeshops or in other places, I gamble that "de Schutter" will be adequate for the rest.

I agree.

Thay have an upper floor though. You can fit 20-30 people there.

And, I think it still is nice to have an option we can recommend.
If everybody thinks they might want to go there, I can still ask the other options across the street to be open for us. But since I think Amsterdam will probably have more than enough options for everybody and most will want to do something completely different, "de Schutter" is a realistic option for people who want to go to the place where most people will go to.

The word on the street is that the Aussie contingent will be meeting at de Schutter... we're getting in at all times of the day on Thursday and intend to meet there in the late afternoon / evening. Look for the Aussie flags and hats Smile

I'll be there as soon as I've had lunch, checked in and either taken the tram back in or walked (depending how lazy I feel).

Team Exile will arrive sometime in the afternoon. We've got to meet Alex at the Thai place to pick up our boards, bt I'm sure we'll get to De Schutter at some point.

You should. The Thai place is a bit away from where the good bars and coffee shops are and De Shutter is where the party is starting.

Duly noted. We will do our best to head straight there. I am here already but the other lads may be jetlagged so we shall see how we make out Smile

Do you want to rephrase that, or are team Canada REALLY close?

Ah, well, there are numerous interpretations of my statement, I see we shall have some fun this weekend!

Smile

But for the sake of clarity I will say, I meant "we shall see how we do" Wink
