Painting - Out of Ideas..

I am going to convert a Lizardman team. I am just drawing a blank for a name and color scheme.... any good ideas out there... I am tapped out.

Well, it would depend on what you want I would think.
My group of friends and players are very Fluff orientated so we only take teams in the NFL/College style of City Team.
So, one of our lizard teams was New Quetzal Saints (After the New Orleans Saints)
But you could do anything like that... just find a city in the BB universe or take a city you like or know and change it to seem "Lizardy", then pick a mascot or something to flesh it out.
Tetzach Toucans for example, then paint them like Toucans(lame example, but an example)
Or just do something funny, take Jonny's "Lizz in my pants" team name for example.
As for paint, could do based on team colors or real lizards or anything.

How about Itza Earthquakes

Orange skin, brown scales white armour

If i go lizards ill be using that scheme Smile

Purple/Cream maybe

an alternative would be to google image lizards

Thank you for the input guys..... just trying to find the right thing.... I do the exact thing for my teams... relate them to NFL teams and tweek them to fit BB and just follow the color schemes.... just seemed to run out of teams..... it will hit me sometime... just have not not think about it I think and it will pop out of nowhere...

How about movies? I used "the replacements" as the basis for my human team

You probably found a theme, but the other day I listened to the radiolab episode on Galapagos, qnd thought "Man if I am going to play a lizardman team I'll name them "Darwins Finches" the name is saturated with dinos and evolution... Plus the Galapagos islands are full of Lizards as well. Darwins finches were the ones that led him to discover and prove evolution.. Dinosaurs are reptiles that are believed to have evolved into birds. It's all a bit the other way around, but that's actually what I like about it, be ause in the 3rd ed fluff, the warring dwarves and orcs discover and old american football stadium, so the "old" world is actually set AFTER ours has ended O_O... If I recall correctly. Weird late night rant over!
