The Orion Cup returns again!

It will be held on Saturday May 10th at Meeplemart in Toronto, Ontario and hosted by the XTBBF. It will be a single day event, as always. We will be adding the info to the Orion Cup page for registration details in the next couple of days but wanted to get the word out.

Sorry for the short notice for this one - I was planning this for June as previous years but I have had to change that.

Any questions please contact AnthonyTBBF or myself, or just post them here.

How many games will this tournament be?
mellis1644 - Apr 23, 2014 - 01:31 PM
Post subject:
3 games in 1 day, as normal. The location (meeplemart) and it's longer hours should help make this easy to fit in, although we had no major issues last time.

Quick rules clarification: Do you need the 11 man roster before adding any star players?

No, but you pay the price listed in the standard rules for them and the maximums are shown for the different teams. Your total team value should be 1,100,000 before skills are added.

Hope this helps.

I wish I could make this one, but I am booked up on the 10th. I'll keep my eyes peeled for next years.

Thank you for the rule clarification. Yes, it answers my question.

After a couple of moves and taking a Varag Ghoulchewer out of my orc team box for whatever reason. If someone has a painted Varag that I may or may not borrow please bring it. Otherwise, I will have to use my unpainted newer edition Varag and be ridiculed. That would make me angry. Lets keep Tom happy. Thank you and see you soon.

Hey Tom I'll pack my Varag for you. It's the newer edition and unfortunately I put him on a 40mm base before I realized how annoying it would be, but I will bring him none the less.

Well thanks again for everyone who attended. I believe/hope fun was had by all. I appreciate that again a good group of good spirited games was played.

I'll be posting the results to the system in the next few days. But for the record here are the results/prizes:

* Alex (Stimme) won fist price and the 'big gift cert prize'.
* Dave (Doomington) won the most casualties - drawn 8 with 4 others, but he had the best record, so got the prize.
* Kevin (Frostmane) won the last place prize - Oh and yes I really did, but he gets the prize because as the organizer I was not getting prizes, even this one!
* Brock (RC3151) won best painted.

For the record, (no prizes for these) but Dave (Doomington) got the most TD's and the biggest Net TD score. Alex (Stimme) had the highest net casualties.

Thanks to Mark and Meeplemart for putting this on. It was a fun, laid back day of Blood Bowl.

I'm also grateful for a one-day, three-game tournament. In my quest for obtaining a record with every team it's great to have shorter tournaments like this to play teams like Goblins. One and done! Smile

Does next few days mean a week or a month? Just checking.

He mentioned it would be done by end of this week on their local forums. Apparently the score upload didn't work.

Photographic proof that the Orion Cup did indeed happen!
