you may want to put a space in between 28 and ) for the Dagger Bowl, otherwise people might show up on February 2. The 8 + ) triggers a smily icon Cool
Gaixo - Jan 21, 2015 - 09:25 PM
Post subject: RE: East Coast Tournament Series 2015
You have to admit that February 2nd is pretty cool.
Daggers - Jan 26, 2015 - 10:52 AM
Post subject: RE: East Coast Tournament Series 2015
Haha, except I am running it and that would be difficult. Although a tournament that you played one game a day during the week for a whole week would be a cool idea? Then have a 6-game tournament on the weekend. That could be a 11 game tournament.

"In addition, the 1st place winner will receive free entry to the both North American Major

Damn straight, so keep winning Grant and you a free ticket to a major.
Daggers - Jan 28, 2015 - 10:05 AM
Post subject: RE: East Coast Tournament Series 2015
And in addition, there is now a Stunty award, so we know I am taking that one home at the end of the year.

Can my tourney, the Coupe des Quatre Nations, in October, be added to that list?

Fred

Sure. I'm generally waiting until the tournament listings have been submitted, but that's no problem.

Updated for Brewhouse. ACCC(s) and Orion Cup are up next.

Post subject:
I don't know that it matters for points (can't see formulas) but should I have a "1" in the win column?

edit:
Also I notice you pulled the stats before I fixed the results for Most TDs.
Most TDs went to tyrant, not grant85 at the Canadian Open.

edit again:
I notice for some tournaments - the Organizers got a point. But not all?
Gaixo - Jun 05, 2015 - 03:21 PM
Post subject:
Oh, you're right about the win. It's the first tiebreaker at the end, the second being "races used." I'll add that now.

Organizers only get points if they don't play. Then it's 1 point per 10 participants with a minimum of 1. So +1 through 19, +2 for 20-29, etc.

EDIT: added your win to the column and changed Most TDs for Canadian Open.
natsirtdm - Jun 08, 2015 - 08:41 AM
Post subject:
OK, then Daggers should have a Organizer point(s)? for Daggerbowl. Myself for Canadian Open.
Is there any way to make it freeze the names so it's easier to read when you scroll right? It looks like you've done it but it doesn't hold the names in place.
Gaixo - Jun 08, 2015 - 10:14 AM
Post subject:
Fixed. Two points for you, one for Dwarfrunner.

The left rows are frozen on the real spreadsheet, but that doesn't seem to be preserved when publishing it to Google.

I figured it was something like that.

Win is there - but lost an organizer point? C'mon Nate!
Gaixo - Jun 08, 2015 - 11:39 AM
Post subject:
Haha. Embarassed Just accept that you'll mysteriously be one point behind me at the end of the year.

This was my first try at changing things within "Sheets" instead of just uploading the whole spreadsheet every time. I think I'll probably stick with the previous method from now on.

As stats maintainer surely you are exempt from actually taking the trophy - much like winning one's own tournament (for those of us with "morals")

Post subject:
It's a good thing Daggers is the real TSO for this series and I'm just his beleaguered assistant.

Seriously, though: next year I would very much like to have a TSO that is up for maintaining these records. It doesn't take an incredible amount of time, but I've usually got enough going on.

You played though? Razz Rolling Eyes
Gaixo - Jun 11, 2015 - 03:42 PM
Post subject:
Oh, I had missed Grant's post. But yeah, that's right. My reading of the rules is that it's participation+performance or the organizer consolation. In this case (in almost every case), the participation points were the better deal.

(I'm equally cool with organizers getting the participation bonus added whether they play or not, but don't want to decide that arbitrarily.)

Updated for Orion and ACCCs. Check my work!

Thanks, Gaixo. Looks good. I only saw that natsirtm is misspelled.

Could you maybe freeze the first columns and the top rows? That would make it easier to look at the data.
Gaixo - Jul 01, 2015 - 07:25 PM
Post subject:
Someone else requested the same thing earlier in this thread. The first columns are locked in the actual spreadsheet, but that doesn't survive into the published version on Google Sheets. I'll see if I can find another sharing option.

Results in for Warpstone. Also found that I had left out a few organizer points. The good news is that Tojurub is working on a semi-automated tracking app for next year, so hopefully things will be a bit easier.

I know that noone pays any attention to this but the google doc is not loading. It reports and error. Sorry if I caused anyone to have a few extra keystrokes.
Gaixo - Sep 28, 2015 - 07:52 PM
Post subject:
I pay attention to it! It loads for me, though, and shouldn't require you to have permission or anything like that. Give it another try and let me know if it's still not working, Tom.

Very Happy
SBG - Oct 19, 2015 - 01:22 PM
Post subject:
Not that it'll change anything for me, but it seems my two results for this year don't add up. I should be at 15 pts, not 9.

Also: do we still get 1 pt for organizing a tourney? If so, I'm at 16 then! Wink

Fred
Gaixo - Oct 20, 2015 - 07:24 AM
Post subject:
Hey, Fred. To get full credit for your tournaments, you need to use more than one race over the course of the year. Also, the organizer bonus is only a consolation for those poor organizers that don't get to play in their own tournament. You got more points for playing than you would have for organizing, as is usually the case.
Gaixo - Oct 28, 2015 - 01:42 PM

Updated for Death Bowl and Orktoberfest.

As there are only a couple of months left before the end of the year, the current list of ECTS events is almost certainly complete. Just the Gitbash, Bad News Blunder, and Solstice Slam left.

L3athalk is there twice except the 2 entries of l3thalk are supposed to be l3athalk
Gaixo - Oct 30, 2015 - 01:29 AM

Yeah, I've worried that a few of those might have gotten in there. Have an idea for fixing that, will have to run it past Tojurub.

Will fix this one when I'm back.in town. Thanks for spotting it.
Tojurub - Oct 30, 2015 - 09:18 AM
Post subject:
That's a simple fix: Just find the miss-spelled name, correct it and run the evaluation again, then update the website
Gaixo - Oct 31, 2015 - 01:54 AM
Post subject:
Oh, I know how to fix it now. I was thinking of a solution to limit such user errors. We can speak about it in person, maybe.
