The outlaws and lawless BB tournament, for those special few that skirt around the border patrols is back!

COST
$40 - NAF Members, $50 - Non-NAF members (with $10 going towards NAF membership sign-up).
TOURNAMENT
5 games of Blood Bowl played over two days (3 on Saturday, 2 on Sunday) Swiss-style match-ups after game 1. Tournament is resurrection.
Tournament points are W/T/L - 3/1/0, with strength of schedule as primary tie-breaker.
We will be using the LRB6.0 rules including all 24 approved races.
To remain a NAF qualified tournament the following appendix is in force

TEAM BUILD
Coaches will have 1,100,000 gold crowns with which to build a "rookie" team. Each coach must purchase a minimum of 11 players. You may also purchase re-rolls, fan factor, assistant coaches, cheerleaders and apothecaries. No skills or stat increases of any kind may be purchased. Apothecaries work as described in CRP/LRB6.0 rules and may not be used on Star Players.
INDUCEMENTS
No inducements may be purchased unless you are the coach of a “Stunty†team. Stunty teams include; Halfling, Goblin, Ogre, Underworld (without Skaven), and Lizardmen (without Saurus) teams. Stunty teams may purchase 0-1 Star Players, but must purchase 11 players before they can purchase any Star Player. Goblin teams may purchase bribes and Halfling teams may purchase a Halfling Master Chef, all as per standard CRP/LRB6.0 rules.
TEAM IMPROVEMENTS
A player may receive a max of 1 upgrade. (Veteran players tend to avoid the Festival)
Every team will get an extra allotment of TV to spend towards skills and stat upgrades based on tier.
A max of 1 of each stat upgrade and 2 of each skill may be selected.
Tier 1 (100k) includes; Amazons, Chaos Dwarves, Dwarves, Dark Elves, Lizardmen, Necromantic, Norse, Orcs, Skaven, Undead, Wood Elves
Tier 2 (130k) includes; Chaos, Chaos Pact, High Elves, Elves, Humans, Khemri, Nurgle, Slann , Vampires.
Tier 3 (160k) includes; Halflings, Goblins, Ogres, Underworld,
The near lawless Border Princes style of Blood Bowl play will be reflected by the drawing of Special Play cards by coaches before each match.
Only up to 2 cards of the same value may be drawn per match.
example: game 3- 2 50k cards and 1 100k card for 200k or
2 100k cards for 200k or
1 200 k card for 200k
you may not pick 4 50k cards.
games 1 and 2 - 100k value of cards
games 3 and 4 - 200k value of cards
game 5 - 400k value of cards!

If I can wrangle a ride home or to the Cornwall Via station, I might be able to swing this. I'll be in Cornwall at some point during the week before. We have to pick the kids up from camp in Quebec, so we'll be at the in-laws for a day or so.

Timmm-ber! gives a Halfling Treeman (not Wood Elf Trees) a +1 to their stand up roll for each adjacent teammate not in opposing tackle zones. A one is always a failure, of course. It's a big help when trees fall down and go boom.
I dropped this one on you at Canadian Open. You looked at me like I was making shit up.

Count me as officially in. Getting there isn't an issue, and worst case scenario I can get the inlaws to pick me up and drop me off at the Via station in Cornwall. If Leathan can get me back to Union station, I'll throw a generous combination of gas/booze/cash in his direction.
I'll also bring Halflings so we're halfway to the stunty fetish prize. I'll assume Daggers or Zap will get us the rest of the way there.

9-9:30, eh? Are you sure that you'll have enough time for 2nd breakfast before round 1? Looks like the 'Flings will be handing advantage over to the other stunty teams. I believe a Dirty Trick to disrupt Halfling camp deployment to further the agenda of the Red Menace is in order. 
Or maybe a well placed bribe to the T.O. to impose a 6 drink minimum before a tent, or other temporary lodging is erected... haha... erect. The Stunty Fetish prize will be mine!

Thanks to everyone who braved the forecast and made the third Border Princes tournament happen. Nuffle was excited and sent gusts of wind through out the weekend. Fortunately it only rained at the end of Saturday's schedule.
With 6 coaches each was able to play all other entrants.
Chris D was crowned Tournament Champion with his Wood Elves
Ryan M and his Dark Elves were 1st runner up.
Manu's Slann were 2nd runner up
Leathan and his Goblins placed fourth overall winning the Stunty Fetish.
Mark H left a trail of blood and bong smoke with his Khemri.
And Ken and his Halflings bravely took on all opponents but ended up winning the Cukold.
A special thanks to Norm Brodati at Sous Sol Hobby for discounting some great prizes
and to the late Fidel Castro for his Havana Club and awesome cigars.
Next year's Festival should be even better ( weather permitting ) with a new fire pit box and loads of pyro technics. Fireballs rule!
