North America - Farewell to the Boathouse Tour ! Sept 23-24, 2017

Clan_Skaven - Jun 30, 2017 - 09:14 AM
Post subject: Farewell to the Boathouse Tour ! Sept 23-24, 2017
This will be the final tourney at the Boathouse, which has hosted 9 Warpstone Cups, 3 Q'ermitt Bowls and 1 Hope Bowl ! The Boathouse will be sold and thus the last Bloodbowl event at this great location. In keeping with the theme of the Boathouse, the Farewell to the Boathouse Tour , will be a tourney where every game is played on a boat and every boat has left the Boathouse to find new adventures . All games will use the custom Boat Pitch rules . (Rules can be found on the Forum thread that will be posted under the "Farewell to the Boathouse Tour !" name.)

Anyone who has attended any Tourney at the Boathouse this will be your last chance to enjoy this great place. To any who has yet to attend, come out to send off this great establishment !

The Cost will be $20 , (if fifteen people attend $10, if 25 people attend it is FREE !)

NAF membership not included in above price.

Here are the Rules to the Farewell to the Boathouse Tourney.

Boat Pitch Rules.

WEATHER: Use the Standard Weather Table.

WAVES: When each Coach moves his/her Turn Marker forward, they roll a D8 , if the roll is same as current turn (example a 5 on turn 5) then the waves crash the ship. If the waves crash the ship, roll a D6 and consult Wave Chart : 1= Your Endzone, 2-3= to the Left of your Endzone, 4-5= to the Right of your Endzone, 6= Opponent's Endzone.
The direction the waves hit moves all players (including Prone and Stunned) 2 spaces in that direction. (Stand Firm Skill may be used to stop effect) All Players move 2 spaces unless running into another player who did not move because of Stand Firm or beacause the player they ran into ran into a Stand Firm Player.

MAN OVERBOARD: When a player falls off Boat and into Ocean he is rescued by smaller boats , but heavier players take longer to save. Place player in Dugout based on AV , so an AV up to 7 goes to the Reserves Box, 8-9 is KO'd, and 10 is Dead and Injured (Thick Skull can not be used on this)

LIFE SAVERS: Each Life Saver can be used once to reduce injury on a MAN OVERBOARD , so a KO'd would be put in the Reserves Box for example. Players already in Reserves Box are unaffected by the Life Saver.

Kick Off Table:

2: Get the Ref

3: Extra Life Saver Found: Both Coaches roll a D3 , highest roll (both if tied) gets a Life Saver to be used this game.

4: Seasick: Both Coaches Roll a D3 the lowest roll, (both if tied) has 1 random player feeling seasick at start of turn. Seasick Players start the turn Stunned.

5: High Kick

6: Yo Ho Ho and a Bottle of Rum! (Same as Cheering Fans)

7: Changing Weather

8: Brilliant Coaching

9: Quick Snap

10: Blitz!

11: Damn Seagulls: The Ball hits a Seagull on Kick Off, before landing the ball scatter it again D3 spaces.

12: Kraken Attack : Both Coaches Roll a D3 the lowest roll (both if tied) has 1 random player attacked, roll directly on Injury Table adding +1 to the roll.

If the Ball goes over Board it is thrown back in from small boats (same rules apply as normal throw ins)

TIERS:

Tier 1 : Orc, Skaven, Norse, Lizardmen, Dwarf, Chaos Dwarf, Wood Elf, Necro, Undead, Dark Elf, Amazon
Tier 2: Human, High Elf, Pro Elf, Khemri
Tier 3: Vampire, Underworld, Chaos, Nurgle, Chaos Pact, Slann
Tier 4: Goblin, Halfling, Ogre
SKILLS:

Any player getting a skill can take 1-6 skills, so you can have 6 ppl with 1 skill or 1 person with 6 skills or something in between.

Tier 1 has 6 skills, all normal. no more than 3 of same skill (block, guard ect )
Tier 2 has 6 skills , up to 2 of the 6 can be doubles, no more than 4 of same skill
Tier 3 has 6 skills, up to 4 of the 6 can be doubles, no more than 5 of same skill
Tier 4 has 6 skills, up to 6 of the 6 can be doubles and all 6 can be same skill

Teams get 1,100,000 to build teams

Teams can buy Master Chef, bribes, Bloodweiser Babes, Wandering Apoth, Igor, and cards, but no star players, Goblins get bribes for 50k

If you lost your last match you receive 2 free Life Savors for next game. If you tied you get 1 free Life Saver. (Life Savors can not be carried over to next match)

Oof... no Stars. You mentioned 50k bribes for Goblins... do Flings still get the 100k Chef or was that specifically omitted?
Clan_Skaven - Sep 02, 2017 - 08:42 AM
Post subject:
I have done the math, flings can still get a good roster at a 300k Master Chef. A full 16 man roster with 2 RR's and a Chef is 1,080,000 you still would have 20k to play with. if you wanted an appoth you could drop a RR or 1 fling.

Alright... guess I'm not bringing Halflings then.

Anyone got a Goblin squad I can borrow for the weekend?
genghis - Sep 02, 2017 - 11:48 AM
Post subject:
Also... limit to # of skills on the same player?
Clan_Skaven - Sep 02, 2017 - 03:36 PM
Post subject:
limit is 6 as there is only 6 skills available . So you can have 6 ppl with 1 skill or 1 person with 6 skills or something in between.

I've got wifely permission
Probably will drive from Rochester same day (2 hours roughly) however to make it happen. When is kick off and when is likely end time?

Got to check in on my passport however as well hopefully not expired.

Would be excited to make it.

Going from past tournaments at the Boathouse, registration would likely start at 9:00 on Saturday with kickoff around 9:45.

Awards and everything should be wrapped up Sunday at 4:30.

Out of curiousity did you use Bookings.com or the hotel website or email/call them.

Haven't had them pick up yet on calling and the email address bounced.

Was going to use Bookings but was worried that might not transmit.
