The outlaws and lawless BB tournament, for those special few that skirt around the border patrols is back!

COST
$40 - NAF Members, $50 - Non-NAF members (with $10 going towards NAF membership sign-up).

TOURNAMENT
5 games of Blood Bowl played over two days (3 on Saturday, 2 on Sunday) Swiss-style match-ups after game 1. Tournament is resurrection.
Tournament points are W/T/L - 3/1/0, with strength of schedule as primary tie-breaker.
We will be using the LRB6.0 rules including all 24 approved races.
To remain a NAF qualified tournament the following appendix is in force

TEAM BUILD
Coaches will have 1,100,000 gold crowns with which to build a "rookie" team. Each coach must purchase a minimum of 11 players. You may also purchase re-rolls, fan factor, assistant coaches, cheerleaders and apothecaries. No skills or stat increases of any kind may be purchased. Apothecaries work as described in CRP/LRB6.0 rules and may not be used on Star Players.

INDUCEMENTS
No inducements may be purchased unless you are the coach of a â€œStuntyâ€ team. Stunty teams include; Halfling, Goblin, Ogre, Underworld (without Skaven), and Lizardmen (without Saurus) teams. Stunty teams may purchase 0-1 Star Players, but must purchase 11 players before they can purchase any Star Player. Goblin teams may purchase bribes and Halfling teams may purchase a Halfling Master Chef, all as per standard CRP/LRB6.0 rules.

TEAM IMPROVEMENTS
A player may receive a max of 1 upgrade. (Veteran players tend to avoid the Festival)
Every team will get an extra allotment of TV to spend towards skills and stat upgrades based on tier.
A max of 1 of each stat upgrade and 2 of each skill may be selected.

Tier 1 (100k) includes; Amazons, Bretonians, Chaos Dwarves, Dwarves, Dark Elves, Lizardmen, Necromantic, Norse, Orcs, Skaven, Undead, Wood Elves
Tier 2 (130k) includes; Chaos, Chaos Pact, High Elves, Elves, Humans, Khemri, Khorne, Nurgle, Slann , Vampires.
Tier 3 (160k) includes; Halflings, Goblins, Ogres, Underworld,

The near lawless Border Princes style of Blood Bowl play will be reflected by the drawing of Special Play cards by coaches before each match.

Only up to 2 cards of the same value may be drawn per match.

example: game 3- 2 50k cards and 1 100k card for 200k or

2 100k cards for 200k or

1 200 k card for 200k
you may not pick 4 50k cards.

games 1 and 2 - 100k value of cards

games 3 and 4 - 200k value of cards

game 5 - 400k value of cards!

So I am keen, think it is ok for me to get away.

Although I don't know of anyone yet who is going from Ottawa.
I know Ottawa isn't on the direct route from Toronto either.

Asking around in O to see if anyone fancies a jaunt.

(Fyi for folks who are too young to remember me playing, I don't drive. Burden of growing up in the UK with good trains and parents who wouldn't insure me on their cars)

P.s. someone should really submit this as a tournament in the database so it can be approved by purplegoo!

I can give you some floor space inside. Or a couch if you like to share with bulldogs. Most guys bring tents but with your back we'll do what is needed.

Yeah we got the results in before the awards to help get everything straight.

The individual "Awards" should be in and visible your coach pages too.

It was an absolute blast and Debbie did a great job hosting us all, especially after Colin got taken out by the Deathroller.

There is a final standings table at Colin's I am sure a picture of it could be posted online easily (i forgot to take a snap before I left).

I think the living changing weather table experience is one for the ages!

Thanks to all the coaches who attended the 4th annual Border Princes. It's you guys that make it a successful weekend! With 10 coaches playing this year we set a new record for attendance and it made for more fun and antics.

I can't seem to find the result sheet ( Perhaps it has something to do with being stunned by the Death Roller in the pre tourney warm up?} But I do recall that Joe ( King Richard) and his undead Rappers
went undefeated to claim the championship! Well done and thanks , Joe, for the NAF results input.

The fix was in with myself claiming 1st runner up (humans) over an always tough competitor Adam and his Dark Elves, whom due to a head to head loss to myself, ended up taking 2nd runner up.

And at the bottom of the standings Steve and his Wood Elves took home the cuckold award and was rewarded with a brief fondling of the Helm of the Pussy.

Everyone else ended somewhere in between. Of that I'm sure. Razz

Also thanks to Leathan our Toronto transporter and Ryan our Montreal transporter.
And of course cudoes to Dan for the shelters ( which survived a runaway Death Roller and a monsoon) and Nutty bars!

Above and beyond the call of deathroller duty.

I will recreate the standings for entry into GLAM later in the week.

I won't have full CAS data but I think that didn't actually affect tie breakers because we used:

Head to head record
TD scored

and never needed a 3rd tie breaker.

Had a blast attending my 1st Border Princes! Thanks to Colin and Debbie for hosting. Always love the relaxed atmosphere of playing in tournaments with a more personal touch to them. Had a great time vs my opponents despite reliving my namesake of Jonesing on the goal line! Cards are crazy and fun at the same time. Can't wait till next time!
