Lodging and Venue
Our team has traveled to many Blood Bowl events across North America and Europe and camaraderie has always been as important to a successful event as the games themselves. For this reason all registrations include lodging at U of Ottawa residence. Each squad registration will include 2 rooms.

The rooms include 2 separate bedrooms with double beds, full bathroom and a kitchenette with fridge and microwave oven.
Parking is an additional cost and will be $34 for Friday & Saturday night.
We have secured an excellent venue at the Shaw Centre which is an approximate 10 minute walk from the residences.

We may consider allowing individuals to sign up and make teams with them, but our preference is for squads to register.
Please be aware that we will not look seriously at this until much later (if at all) during the registration period. If you desire to attend the best course of action is forming a squad.
Team Registrations include
(price in $CAD)
Lodging for Friday & Saturday night
(2 units/team – 2 coaches/unit)
6 games of Blood Bowl over 2 days.
Amorical After Hours (saturday night gaming event)

It was tried for the first North American Team Championship, the pre Amorical Cup tournie. The main concern is the time required to be away for a three day event means everyone attending has to take time off work. Where as for a two day event the local coaches don't need time off, so the attendance "should" be higher.
Having said that. If it becomes super popular....maybe?
The better comparison event is really the Eurobowl, I am not sure if that is done over 2 or 3 days.

If it involves similar activities as in Virginia a couple years ago 
can make one shudder from that type of experience

The Amorical Cup online has just started round 5 of match ups on fumbbl. WOW there are some interesting rosters to look at. Also many countries represented, really neat look into the Amorical team building meta by different regions.

Our team is working closely with the NAF admin group to monitor the covid-19 situation not just in Ottawa but across the globe. Rest assured that we will not be pushing this event forward until we are able to run it with all the fun and frolicking BB coaches have come to expect from an Amorical Cup tourney. With fingers tightly crossed for June 2021, we are bracing for the possibility of June 2022 being the most realistic option. We want to make absolutely sure that there are no health related barriers to coaches that want to attend. So please keep an eye out for updates. All the best and stay safe.

No worries, I completely understand. I know this is a trying time and everyone involved is doing their best to make sure Amorical is a safe and fun event.
Side note question:
If pushed to 2022, would the rules be under BB2016/LRB6 or BB2020?

We had very high hopes that Amorical-Ottawa would be the last great bb16 event but if things get pushed back another year we will likely need to adopt the rules set to bb20 for ease of access to all new coaches and consistency moving forward.

As of today we would not be able to host the Amorical Cup in Ottawa (or most of Ontario) due to current protocol & restrictions. We will be postponing until June 2022. Further details will be shared soon.
Limit close contact to your household (the people you live with) and stay at least 2 metres apart from everyone else.
Events and social gatherings in private homes, backyards or parks (for example, barbeques):
Indoors: 10 people
Outside: 25 people
Organized public events and gatherings in staffed businesses and facilities (for example, event spaces):
Indoors: 50 people
Outside: 100 people

This went out last week on all of the Amorical Cup social feeds:
"After speaking to key stakeholders regarding the interest of public health and
safety of coaches, their families and local communities, and coinciding with
current guidelines and restrictions, the Amorical Cup Ottawa organisation team
has decided to postpone the 2021 running of the event. Although great strides
have been made in recent months to vaccinate people in Canada, the US and
around the world, there is still a ways to go before we are all past this and safe to travel internationally.
The international nature of this event requires attendees to travel from cities
across North America, and hopefully the world. Travel and border crossing
restrictions will hinder our ability to welcome all coaches wishing to participate
and provide the renowned experience were are striving to bring. The Amorical
Cup has become a highlight event in the Blood Bowl tourney calendar, and
anything less than the biggest possible event we can organize feels like a wasted opportunity.
We have been incredibly proud and honored to have been selected to host the
Amorical Cup in our community and are disappointed that current
circumstances will prevent us from providing the Blood Bowl event we envision
and bringing the comradery of this gaming community to our fair city this year.
We look forward to welcoming coaches June 4-5, 2022 with the full weekend
experience and other gamer friendly extras that BB coaches have come to expect from the Amorical Cup weekend.

First off, thank you very much for the update.
Secondly, I want you to know how much I appreciate the Amorical Cup team for keeping this going and adapting through one of the most difficult times in our lives. This Pandemic screwed up so much, but the team kept the optimism alive for this. I look forward to participating in this event, even if I have to bring in a circular table where I sit in the middle and spin around to play against 4 coaches on the opposing side.

As of today. The 42 spaces for teams of 4 have been filled.
So we have an event in Ottawa that currently looks to have 168 players attending.
This is a RECORD for Ottawa and all of Canada
Currently there is a conversation to see if we can get more space at the convention centre. So if you still want to put in a team there is now a wait list on the webpage.
