With the NAF World Cup approaching, Renowned Blood Bowl Star and Mascot of Critical Hit Games “Critter” has decided to create a tournament of his own! Always having a flair for the grandiose, Critter has modeled this event on the upcoming NAF World Cup.

Critter’s Cup will be held January 26th 2019 at:
Critical Hit Games
702 S Gilbert Street
Iowa City, IA

Entry Fee for Critter’s Cup will be $10.

Times for the Event will be as follows:
Registration Begins: 9:00 AM
Round 1: 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM
Lunch: 11:30 AM -12:30 PM
Round 2: 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM
Round 3: 2:45 PM – 4:45 PM
Awards: 5:15 PM

Division of Races (Tiers)
In order to reduce the unbalancing between the different races Critter’s Cup will be dividing the races into four tiers.
• Tier 1: Amazons, Bretonnians, Chaos Dwarves, Dark Elves, Dwarves, Lizardmen, Norse, Orcs, Skaven, Undead, Wood Elves
• Tier 2: Chaos Renegades, Elf Union, High Elves, Humans, Khemri, Necromantic
• Tier 3: Daemons of Khorne, Chaos, Nurgle’s Rotters, Slann, Underworld Denizens, Vampires
• Tier 4: Goblins, Halflings, Ogres

Team Creation
Teams at Critter’s Cup will be built and will gain improvements (additional skills or stat upgrades) according to their placement in the tier system above. The composition of all teams and all improvements to be taken must be submitted before the tournament begins.

Team Building
Coaches must spend a minimum of 1,100,000 gold pieces when building their team. When building your team, you may buy:
• At least 11 standard roster players before any star player
• 0-8 Re-Rolls
• Assistant coaches
• Cheerleaders
• 0-1 Apothecary or Igor, depending on race
• 0-9 Fan Factor
• Inducements. The cost will be as following and will count for all games:
o 0-2 Bloodweiser Kegs for 50 kgp each
o 0-3 Bribes for 100 kgp each, (for Goblins only for 50 kgp each)
o 0-1 Masterchef for 300 kgp, (for Halflings only 100 kgp)
o 0-2 NAF-approved star players for their regular cost
Wizards, (in)famous coaching staff and/or Special Play Cards are explicitly not allowed at Critter’s Cup
(Inducements will not be awarded as normal for Team Value Differences)
Additional Cash
Each team receives additional funding based on their tier. Starting cash can be used for team building (as above) or used to buy skills or a mixture of both. Cash for Round 2 and 3 can only be spent on skills in advance of those Rounds.

• A ‘normal’ skill costs 20 kgp
• A ‘double’ skill costs 30 kgp
o Tiers 1-3 are limited to one double skill during the tournament
o Tier 4 may have more than one double skill
• Your roster can have one player that has two additional skills. Both skills must be normal skills and the second skill has a cost of 30,000 gold pieces. These skills can be added at different times in the event.
• Tier 4 may buy a single stat upgrade. This cannot be combined with any other additional skill.
o + MA / AV costs 40,000 gold pieces,
o + AG 50,000 gold pieces and
o + ST 60,000 gold pieces.
• Star players may not receive additional skills or stat upgrades
• All improvements must be selected before the tournament begins
All gold left unspent each round is lost, and does not carry over to subsequent rounds. If you choose to not spend all of your gold, Critter thanks you for your contribution to his bar tab!
Critter’s Cup will be using the CRP Version of the Piling On Skill
Golden Era Star Players will be Allowed at Critter’s Cup


How to Win the Tournament (Scoring & Tiebreaker)
The following point system will be used for Critter’s Cup:

WIN: 60 POINTS
DRAW: 30 POINTS
LOSS: 10 POINTS
OUT SCORE OPPONENT BY 2: 2 POINTS
OUT SCORE OPPONENT BY 3+: 5 POINTS
LOSE BY 1 TOUCHDOWN: 2 POINTS
OUT INJURE OPPONENT BY 1: 2 POINTS
OUT INJURE OPPONENT BY 2+: 5 POINTS
CLEAR THE PITCH (ONCE ONLY) 5 POINTS
FINISH ON TIME: 3 POINTS

For determining the final standing and crowning the Critter’s Cup Champion the following order will be applied:
1. Coach Points
2. Opponents Total Points
3. Head-to-head performance
4. Net touchdowns
5. Net casualties
6. Public coin toss to determine the Critter’s Cup Champion

Additional Notes
Skill Rings
The usage of these base-rings will be mandatory for every additional skill. If a coach does not have skill rings, the organizer will provide special Base-Rings in different colors to all participants.
