Hello all,
The BloodBowl Association of London Leagues (ECBBL, DBL, BBBL, talkNuffle) is excited to announce the BBALLs Shield will run once again in 2020. This competition was fantastic fun last year and we feel achieved it's goals of promoting Bloodbowl in London, fostering the community and most importantly having some fun!
The last series was very close, right down to the wire, with multiple coaches at the last tournament having a shot at winning. Congratulations to out winner Gritter, our Stunty champion Whitehot and the ECBBL in the team category (on tiebreakers!).
The BBALLs Shield 2020 is again a Structured Series running throughout the year. Simply play in one or more of our 8 associated tournaments to qualify. Your best 3 results will be taken to rank you individually. Additionally you can nominate a team to represent and then the best 3 individuals for each team will be used to rank Teams. The form of the teams are entirely up to the entrants choice. We suggest by League, but if could be based on any grouping you like or you may enter as an individual if you wish.
The final qualifying event, The BBALLs Cup, is a team tournament for teams of three in November 2020. This tournament’s draw will use ranking from the BBALLs Shield up to that point to seed the sides.
Finally an invitation to the BBALLs Masters will be extended to the top 12 ranking coaches to participate in a knock out event in January 2020. This will crown the BBALLs Master for the calendar year.
So if you want to represent your London league, come into our city and steal our trophies, vie for the title of best player in London, or simply just play some Bloodbowl, let your interest be known and get to some events!
