Post subject: Getting NAF Sanctioning for a Tournament?

I have just finalized a date, time, and location for a tournament. I have not yet started advertising yet, but hope to do so soon. The tournament will be a one-day event of 4 matches.
How do I go about getting it Sanctioned?
How do I handle people who aren't NAF members, but wish to join?
How do I get the Tournament Sheets that everyone is raving about?
How do I report the results of the Tournament?
How do I keep my wife from killing me?
(Sorry - that last one just kind of slipped out on it's own....)  |

Try contacting ggiersch (by PM). He's the North America tournament organizer and he handled my tournament very nicely and should be able to answer all your questions, with the exception of the last one (try hiding all the knifes at home, wear bullet proof vests, by her flowers.....just things which come in mind) |

| Non-NAF members can play, but the games vs. them dont count for ranking purposes. They get to enjoy the tourney and potentially win the whole thing though. Many will sign up at the event if you let them know about NAF. You would need to talk to CyberHare about getting dice for new members and what info you would need to take down when they sign up. You report the results right on this site by entering the tournament and then entering the match results. |

Invite her? She might be bored but she'll realise there is nothing to be worried about (unless in your neck of the woods the average BB player is 20 year old females). |
