I played one game that I barely won in OT, in which my team had the ball for only 4 turns the ENTIRE game. They can score in 2 turns, but they could not cause a turnover for anything.
When it comes to offense, my skaven team knows what to do... On Defense, they are running into problems with "run it down your throat" style teams. Teams are starting to run the "cage" offense with big hitters, and the skaven just cant break through to the ball carrier.
How can I force opposing coaches to NOT play, "keep-away" with my skavens?
I am a pretty new coach, sorry if this is vague. Thanks! |

The other route is taking kick as the first skill for a linerat, kicking deep and using your superior movement to get in the backfield and make caging tough for your opponent. Pass Block and Foul Appearance are key in this strategy. Horns/Dauntless is nice on Gutter Runners, and if you get a 5 AG runner, you give them leap. |

GR can take General skills. Dauntless is well within their grasp. |

Yep...just takes a doubles roll.
Now only if they they could still take Stunty...that skill will Dauntless used to make them unstoppable blitzing machines! |

Try this approach, Make them score or break their own cage in order to beat you up. Scatter as much as possible so they must either split up to catch you or score. sure they may score, but that will be the only way they will get SPP because you prevent them from even throwing one block. Your offense is good enough to score when they kick off. |

Kick deep and flood the backfield with GRs etc. If he doesn't cage up immediately you ought to be able to get a hit on the ball carrier.
If he does cage up then you can either
- Attack the back of the cage, and try to cut off any extra players being forced in.
- Stand Off and restrict him to a couple of squares movement. If he's deep enough you may have enough time to stop him scoring. Skavs aren't as good at this as Elves as they can't dodge everyone away.
Remember it only takes one Block, Strip Ball Gutter Runner to cause all sorts of problems. |
