Post subject: Dissolving superglue?

I was putting together a metal model and was using the standard sperglue, but it got stuck in the nozzle (as they always do) and long story short, when it did come out, it got all over my model's face.
Does anyone know of a way to get this crap off? I will gladly re-glue the model if that is what it's going to take. But i fear that I have covered a lot of the detail.
Appreciate any advice.

I've had decent luck with brake fluid and a pin to pry the stuff off.
If it's a plastic mini though, I think you may have to transfer him to a Nurgle team... |

I have had success with "Extreme Power" Cyanoacrylate De-Bonder.
I believe it ia a Hobby Lobby Brand.
Great Glues, and acceleraters also.

Curious, would you soak it in this stuff? Does the glue come right off, or do you have to pry at it with a pin? The glue that I am most concerned with is in the eye of the model. That will screw up the detail the worst. |

Spazz-
I don't have alot of experience in stripping plastics, but I believe that one of the benefits of using brake fluid is that the solvent does not mar the plastic...does this also mean that it will not bear fruit against the glue? I don't know...that said, if you soak it it may well penetrate the seam between the model and the glue and then act as a lubricant in removing the glue.
However, if the glue you use alters the surface of the model so that the two surfaces fuse together...I think Brampton may just may have found it's next Blowfly.

P.S. I would use a toothbrush instead of a pin. The pin may do the job quicker, but the brush will do it more gradually and hopefully not damage detail. |

| Well it is a metal model - so hopefully it will work out - the Blowflies are pretty full for their positions! |

Acetone based nail varnish remover for metals
Don't use them on platci though as the result will be similar to a chaos spawn. |

Yes, Acetone is the ticket.
I put the mini in a glass jar with lid, (a clean Pickle jar).
Pour the fingernail polish remover into the jar and submerge the mini.
Seal the lid and let sit over night, (don't leave the lid off, the acetone will evaporate).
Break out your trusty toothbrush, not the one you use in your mouth, start scrubbing to get excess off mini.
