Welcome sports fans to the 2nd Sandgroper Cup.
This years event will be held on the 17th and 18th of May, at the Balmoral Hotel in Victoria Park, Western Australia. This year will be even bigger and better than last year.
Basic Rules
> Rules and teams from the LRB5
> Resurrection style tournament
> 1.2 million rosters
> You can assign 4 normal skills, 1 each to 4 separate players
> Max 1 star player may be purchased
> 6 games over 2 days
> In the first round you may issue a grudge match challenge
> At the end of Day 1 there will be a 2 round draft of new skills/stats
> Cost $50
Open Night
After the draft has concluded there will be an open night. This is open to anyone, not just the players in the tournament. It is your chance to play some social games of Bloodbowl in a great environment. Also available will be a Deathbowl pitch, some Dungeonbowl tiles and BB7's pitches for alternate games. You are also able to use different teams to the ones you are using in the tournament.
Stunty Cup
The Stunty Cup is a competition that runs ???inside??? the Sandgroper Cup, and is awarded to the stunty team that places the highest at the end of play. It???s that simple???there are no extra rules or entry criteria, just a straight forward fight to see which coach can take their little-leaguers the furthest. So, all you coaches of stunty teams (that???s Halflings, Goblins and Ogres, which are, when all said and done, better described as Snotling teams anyway) have something new to aim for. While the prizes might be small, just like the players, you will always know you were #1 at something other than casualties. Your results will also be logged at www.stuntycup.co.uk
NAF Tournament
This tournament is a NAF event ??? which means that registered NAF coaches will receive international ranking points where games are played against other NAF members. While you do not have to be a NAF member to play in the event, if you are a NAF registered coach, please include your current NAF registration number with your entry. If you want to become a NAF member, or just want to know what a NAF is ??? for more information, please go to www.bloodbowl.com . You may also sign up to become a member and eceive the cool orange block dice, at the event. Membership costs $15.
FREE MINIATURE
Thanks to the support of Shadowforge Miniatures, all players that Purchase a ticket before April 27th will receive a free Shadowforge Cheerleader at the event. For more check out www.shadowforge.com.au
So strap on your spikey helmet and prepare for battle. |

Update 28/2/08...
We have sold 11 tickets so far, with 2 and half months still to go our target of at least 30 players is looking good. If any one over east is interested in getting a ticket, please pm me as we can now accept payments via Paypal.
The Sandgroper Cup is also running a special with Impact Miniatures the same as the Euc Bowl. Our order will be sent at the begining of April and should be with us in early May, if anyone is interested please let me know.
Sandgroper Cup All Star team.
This is something we do each year for the Sandgroper Cup. This year we are raffling off a complete Shadowforge Bunny team, painted by Oliver Paun. Oliver won the best painted team at last years Sandgroper Cup. Thank you Oliver for the painting and Neil from Shadowforge for donating the team.
There are 16 players and this could be used as either a Human or Amazon team.
Tickets are $2 each. The raffle will be drawn at the open night of the Sandgroper Cup, on May 17th.
So here it is, the 2008 Sandgroper Cup All Stars
All money raised from the raffle will go towards the running of the Sandgroper Cup and BRAWL league.
Thanks again to Oliver and Neil
There are more exciting things to come at the Sandgroper Cup, and I will keep you all updated as they get confirmed.

All right. This is shaping up well. Definitely going to be worth the drive. I remember many days playing pool in the Babylon Hotel before it changed to the Balmoral. Looking forward to getting some blood bowl games in. |

Just under a month to go and 28 players confirmed. We will easily get over the 30 when the stragglers join in. Still time for any eastern staters to make the trip
As promised here are pics of 2 of the new awards this year.
Firstly the MVP (sportsmanship) will now be known as the Griff Oberwald Medal Who needs a Brownlow...
