Yup yup. The fend prevents the follow up. A frenzier needs to be able to follow up in order to hit again.

Not completely correct. If a player with frenzy has grab then they can place the fend player next to them and therefore fit the criteria for the second block. ;P

Except they don't combine "A player with the Grab skill can never
learn or gain the Frenzy skill through any means"

However, if the player being hit has Side Step, and elects to use it to Side Step next to the Frenzy player, then they do get the 2nd hit.

Aye, the Fend in a Fend/SS combo only helps against Frenzy if you keep the Frenzy player from ending up adjacent. You're basically using SS to redirect the direction of the next Frenzy hit and may also be using Fend to manipulate what square the Frenzy hit comes from. You MAY wish to ignore Fend, force the Frenzy player to followup, use SS to shift in an obnoxious direction, and leave your opponent with a -D hit instead of a 1D or 2D hit.
