First game VS Vampires:
won 2:0 and inflicted 1 cas (non taken)

He was a bit hesitant in confronting my warriors ant the beast (for no obvious reason)
I scored the first TD in my last turn of the first half (but only by sheer luck)
Second half i was dominant with a full team against 4(!) vampires and thralls (thanks to the help of the vampires who were really thirsty).
I even dared to pick up the ball with one of my warriors to score the second TD.
All in all I was a very nice first game.

Well done HK. May you have many more Nurgly victories.

There are 2 ideas I would like to suggest to you:

(1) Put Rotters on the line of scrimmage in defense, not Warriors. Having a heavy second line with mobile Disturbing Presence is the best defense. Whenever I put Warriors on the line, I regret it. There are exceptions, of course.

(2) Opponents are often spooked by the Nurgle mutations. This is an important psychological advantage, which can lead to strange, but entertaining games. Get used to adapting to each turn as it comes, and don't underestimate this advantage.

All the best.

I'm not sure if it works, but have you tryied to "Print Screen" it? (the keyboard key right above 'insert')
Then you just need open a new file in photoshop (or other program of the kind) and then 'past' and cut to the apropriate size.
(I hope I understood what you were asking for...)

Now, right on the thread subject again:
I'll have to disagree with smeborg on this one.
IMO if you get your rotters too exposed (as in LOS) you'll end up outnumbered and then outrun as the warriors lack the movement to keep up with medium/fast opponents...
The warriors strength is in fact well... in strength!
St 4, AV 9, Foul Appearence (remember this!!!) and as soon as they get Block, they're a fearsome sight to any LOS.
Disturbing Presence works even if your warrior is flat on the floor, so all you have to do to take the most out of DP is not to place the warriors too close (in order to maximise the range of it).
Rotters are not build to take hits (nor are the pestigors), but they have their uses:
They can cover holes in the line, they can help with assists (both defensive and ofensive), they evan can score a TD once in a while when your pestigor is facing down, and well they do have AG 3 after all...

Against fast teams, with catcher type players (human catchers, Gutter Runners, etc) use your beast to keep the catchers in place. Its plain sick how many times I've menaged to hold oponent catchers for turns and turns with Tentacles.
Try it and you'll see what I mean...

Cheers,
A.

Thanks for that - I will give it a try!

Second game: Orcs.
Won 4:0 with 3:1 cas (he killed one of my rotters).
I cannot recall a game with more luck involved.
I injured three of his players (all of them blackorcs, two of them missing the next game...).
Not to mention that after the game all four Warriors and the pestigor got their first skill (two block and two guard for the warriors, extra arms for the Pestigor).

That was a good game!
Sometimes luck is on our side, sometimes we just have to play better! Wink
I would have gone "block" for all warriors, but "guard" is a usefull skill too!
Cheers

Block will be the next skill for the ones that got guard now. But i really love the skill, even if it is just to annoy my opponent with a "No, this is still a one-die block."

4 TD in one game!
dude u must be some kind of nurgle superstar!
the nurgle team in our league hasnt managed 4 TD in 3 games!
u wont regret taking guard, especially when u come up against all the low ST elf teams, as they wont be able to gang up for 2 dice blocks

Spazzfist, how will we be able to obtain a copy of your nurgle playbook?
i would love to pass it on to the nurgle team in my league, he needs all the help he can get

The first 4 games went really well. I won all of them and had a TD-ration of 11:1. That was just awesome.
The next two games were against Dark Elves (this guy just has a pact with the devil when it comes
to rolling dice.... he injured 4 of my players) which started out good, but ended in a clear defeat. The last so
far were amazons (I just hate them) with a Str 4 Catcher and some more annoying players. I lost these two
but I am still quiet far up in the rankings. Now it depends on the last game of the first round. I stand at 12
points. The Amazon player at 15, the elf at 13.

i would try to start with 4 warriors and probably the beast in my staring line-up as this should mean you can play to your strengths and bash some people up in your opening games
