Hello everybody,

I hope someone can help me:

If a player tries a handover, can skills effecting the catch process (such as “Catch” or “Diving Catch”) be used? Or is a handover a type of action completely different from a pass/catch action?

Catch and diving catch can be used. The handoff is, effectively, an "accurate pass."

SolarFlare is incorrect.

A handoff is not an accurate pass anymore. It was in LRB 4.0 but that was changed in LRB 5.0 and is still true in the CRP rules.

Catch can be used because it specially says it can be used on Hand-offs in the skill. Diving Catch cannot be used on a hand-off because it can only be used on accurate passes (or inaccurate passes that land in squares next to them) ... and a hand-off is neither of these.
