A little confused (well, that goes without saying!)
The 110 euro figure - is that just the tourney cost (food, prizes etc), or is that including the hotel (new location?)
If not, is there a plan for making a mass-booking, or is it going to be up to individual teams to sort out?
Just trying to get a handle on when I need to make funds available. |

I too am a little confused. The address Lucy posted is not the same address that Dave posted. |

De Rode Hoed is the new venue.
111 Euro is for three days tournament, including 3 lunches.
I have a few hotels which offer deals, but it being Amsterdam, if you're on a tighter budget, I would recommend youth hostels.
We're trying to find one with a discount as well.

@Lucy:
The street is the "Keizersgracht 102" - so Hotel The Toren will be the nearest....? |

I've written to 50 hotels/hotel chains and only 3 wanted to (could) offer a deal.
At the moment, these deals are probably worse than booking on booking.com, but we get 30+ rooms set aside for players in each and deals on booking.com are normally just for a few rooms.
Since these deals were ofcourse all written in Dutch, I will put them online as soon as possible.... Or once we know we have a deal with a youth hostel.
Lucy'
p.s: It probably is the nearest but definitely not the cheapets. And, I fear it's already completely booked |

I looked also at some other hotels nearby and it seemed that you couldn't book a room for November now. Most of the Hotel sites say that you can't book a room from 17-21 Nov (and I won't believe that all the hotels are booked out here)
Or is there another event other than the BB WC?
Cheers

I tried the place I usually stay in Amsterdam and couldn't book. I'd guess there is a standard amount of time that is the maximum for advance bookings. 6 or 8 months maybe.
Off peak season I can't imagine for a second that the entire city is booked out...half of central Amsterdam is hotels after all. |

111 Euro you must be giving out an awesome registration pack. Do we get to pick free the team, is it fixed, is it random? |

What do you mean about pick free the team? I don't understand the question. |

He's saying that for 111 Euro there must be one hell of a great giveaway included in the package and he thinks it is a free team and he asks if it is a team of each coach's choosing |

Oh I see, missed that. The 111 Euros is not that bad at all IMO. It includes some food and the rent of a place much bigger than "we" would normally use for our events.
It is also 3 days not 2.
Most of the time "we" hold tournaments in free/cheap spaces, but for this size and for 3 days the bookings are much more costly. |
