Hello all,

We are happy to announce the dates for the 2014 NAF Championship as the 17th and 18th of May 2014. The event will again be held at the East Midlands Conference Centre in Nottingham.

The rules pack can be found here : http://www.thenaf.net/downloads/NAFC2014.pdf .

But to answer what might be some of the more common questions :

* Coaches may use any painted and based fantasy football miniatures (or appropriate conversions) in their teams. This means that the 'GW models only' clause no longer applies.

* The event will be using new rules this year. Teams will be TV110, with 3 skills before game one, and 3 skills (one of which may be a double) before game four. All skills must be chosen before the tournament and printed on your roster.

* The event will cost £55.00. This will include lunch on both Saturday and Sunday and an evening meal on Saturday, plus free gifts and of course your entry to play Blood Bowl in the event itself. Payment should be sent to theNAFChampionship@gmail.com. If you can avoid fees please do so.

* We have negotiated discounted rates with The Orchard Hotel next to the venue of £40.00 for a single room or £50.00 for a twin room per night. The Orchard is a 4-star hotel and this rate includes full breakfast and use of facilities (including gym). This rate is available on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. To receive this rate you must book no later than three months before the event. Booking requires a code that will be sent to you after you purchase a ticket for the event.

Rooms are more limited this year (especially on the Sunday) so we recommend that you get sorted as early as possible. We would also ask that you buddy up and share a twin room if you can, as our quota is on rooms not people staying, and we can fit more people in this way.

We are again asking for coaches to send us their rosters in advance of the NAF Championship to speed up the process of registration on the Saturday morning. There is no pressure to do this immediately so please take as much time as you want to deliberate over every fiendish roster decision! But the more of these we get, the faster the queue will move come the day.

Please send your roster to NAFC.rosters@gmail.com. You may not necessarily receive a response, but please accept our silent thanks. Everyone will still need to bring two printed copies of their roster on the day.

If there are any further questions please respond below and if we can answer at this stage we will.

The 2013 event seemed to be a resounding success, and the venue went down a storm, so we hope to see loads of you there again in 2014!

Thanks
The NAFC team.

Hi Joe,
is there a cap on numbers for the tournament? Any raffle or anything for getting in early?

Cheers,
Mike

There is no raffle planned this year, and we'd have to go some way to run out of room. But we have fewer hotel rooms available at the reduced price this year so paying up early so you can book them is advisable.

Hi there!

Last year I think there was a bank account number for the payment. Now I see this:

"* The event will cost £55.00. This will include lunch on both Saturday and Sunday and an evening meal on Saturday, plus free gifts and of course your entry to play Blood Bowl in the event itself. Payment should be sent to theNAFChampionship@gmail.com. If you can avoid fees please do so. "

What does exactly mean "send the payment to an email address"? I'm not sure I can do this without the proper account number. Sorry if that's a silly question, but I'm not used to pay thing through the internet.

Thanks.
