I forund a quick and cheap wat to strip both plastic and metal minis. Just used Desinfetant (sorry for the spelling). It works and your model have that pine fresh smell too. Just put them in the jar, pot or whatever, add water, and wait a couple of days. Hey presto, the paint just peels for. |

but not "pinesol" it WILL eat the plastic bases/minis. brake fluid works well with plastics though i haven't tried it with metals but i'm sure it would work with them also. |

Pinesol works great on metals, but keep it far away from the plastics. |

just make sure you get actual Dettol (disinfectant) when you do this. After leaving 10 metal figures in a tub of pure stuff for a week without any paint coming off I had a closer look at the bottle. Turns out Dettol floor cleaner isn't the same as actual Dettol but they look the same...
If you live in the UK, just use nitromors from Homebase. It's great stuff. |

I haven't tried the disinfectant, but I have used Brake fluid before. Just soak the model for 24 hours or so, and then scrub with a toothbrush or even a metal brush if the mini is metal. You can do this many times, and I've had pretty good results with it. I haven't seen any effect on the model either. |
