gotta hand it to him, that man knows how to paint. Despite my loyalties to the newcastle united-themed orc team, there was no real competition for the overall award!

I agree the team was amazing  the Newcastle UTD Themed orcs were mine  !!! I was realy embaressed as i had painted 2 blitzers varag and my ogre (big Orc!!) the night before. didnt realy like my team, and thought there were many more deserving teams. |

I wasn't there either, Spree, though I know what Anthony took over there. A Nurgle themed Chaos team... I'm in the TBBF with him, and he didn't even show us his paint job before he got on the plane!  |

Well I really didn't expect to win again this year, but thanks for the kind words everyone! My bases took a bit of a beating from all the travel so I have a lot of re-flocking to do BTW, if anyone took any photos of my team I'd love to have a copy, please sne d'em over to anthw@sympatico.ca

Dang that makes two teams of Anthony's I'll have to try and buy when he gets to the point where his wife wants him to buy the vacation home in Aruba and needs the cash. Better start saving now. 
Just joking ... Anthony's already told me the teams are not for sale unless its an estate auction, and I'd rather play against these teams anyway ...

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm .... hadn't thought about that option ....
The game is better for you being in it and adding your painting and conversion to the game ... and the Chaos Waster playing your Norse team was too good looking to deprive me of future opportunites for a match like that.

were your figures varnished? I tried using a matt varnish (GW spray) to protect them from all the handling, particularly Mr T, but all it did was to make them shine and it f**ked up all my patient highlighting 
Yours looked really smooth, which made me wonder how easily it would chip...
Also, what's the chances of you producing a tutorial/work in progress for that team, or maybe doing one for the next figure you paint? Us mortals need help painting |

I gave a really quick bust of matte varnish just to try and hold my flock together a bit. I had the same probalem as you on my Norse minis so I stopped using the spray and used a bit of brush on water based mate varnish that seems to work really well.
I wish I had some pictures, I am waiting for a couple of people to send me some so I will post them as soon as I can. I can't wait for plastic Beastmen either!  |

well I am getting mine developed and scanned tomorrow so I will try and have them online by the weekend
