Hi guys,
Glad to be a member of the NAF. I am getting ready to paint my Chaos Dwarves but I don't want the normal Black and Red. I was thinking of Red and Bone color. Any suggestions? |

Just don't paint the scalemail red - red scalemail makes a Chaos Dwarf look like a strawberry |

I've always thought purple would look good, esp. if it is quite dark. Gold trim, shaded to reinforce the dark look, would go nicely too.
but I've never actually tried it |

Nah, I'd go for something fiery to go with their volcanic magic-theme and all... Dark red?
...I'll paint up Htarrk the Unstoppable soon, let's see if I can get him volcanic |

Dark Blues look good on Chaos Dwarves as does a good puple with a purple ink over the top. Trim them with something contrasting and away you go. |

I have 1 Chaos Dwarf figure in my standard Dwarf league team. He's called 'Dirty' and is a real target for the opposition despite the fact he has no extra skills. He is painted (along with the other dwarves) Pale Blue and White. Looks good. |

Blue and white ey? I remember having painted a Chaos Dwarf team for a friend once, also in blue and white... Wow, I was young and reckless then |

Thanks guys for all the advice. I may do a test run of one dark red and bone, and one of purple and a non-metallic gold, using vomit brown. |

Hi.
I used a very dark red for mine. The armour is painted in blackened bronze. The Hobgoblins use some elements of bronze and dark-red but are mainly field-gray. All in all the team looks great, but some say that it's lacking the typical Bloodbowl-style. But the darkened bronze really rocks!

I hate doing dark colour-schemes for BB. Teams should all have nice bright colours. Even teams and countries people may consider 'dark' in real life have bright and visible colour schemes for their football teams.
Dark is fine in WH but not for BB.
Hey .. just my 2 gold pieces.
I'll get me cloak. |
