I'm planning of taking Chaos Dwarves to my first NAF tournament, and I've been thinking of the setup.
Perhaps:
2 Bulls
5 Dwarves
4 Hobgobs
--------
770K
and 3 Rerolls, 8 FF OR 4 Rerolls, 3FF OR 3 Rerolls, 3FF, Apoth
I've already almost decided, but I'm willing to listen to what people think...
The tournament is 3 matches, injuries are healed after each game. One skill after each game. Otherwise pure LRB. |

Just a 3 match tournament? I'd drop the FF and get an extra Hobgob:
2 Bulls
5 Dwarves
5 Hobgobs
3 RR
4 FF |

What about this :
2 BC - 260 K
6 CD - 420 K
4 HG - 160 K
3 RR - 150 K
4 FF - 40 K
Total - 1 000 K
Winning the tourney : Priceless

Concordia:
mathematical skills : priceless
As your roster costs 1 030K - so it should have 1FF.
A three-match tournament as it is only a one-day event. I'll have to see what I'm going to take... |

You're damn right Mestari !
I'll go and hide for the next century or so...
Seriously, if you ever see me pop-up at a tourney, would you please check my roster !

Still I'd opt for your roster, Fred - who needs FF when you can also have 6 Chaos Dwarfs?

Thanks Squiggoth!
For a tourney where "magical healing" takes place, I think that FF is overrated...

Defiantley your roster Fred,
I may use that as I am toying with the idea of taking Chaos Dwarves too the Bearded Snot in May.

I think it is very nice!
I tried out your roster with a slight variation tonight, I took a Mino instead of one of the BC's.
It didn't work out, I lost 2-0 too a Norse team. |

And I think so too. Just don't look at my signature
Even though I blame it all on loaded dice!

Duh - when having the choice between a minotaur and a bull centaur, choose the bull centaur. They're worth their weight in warpstone!
Martijn (been trampled by bull centaurs often enough!) |

I'd go with 4 re rolls. The complete lack of ball handling skills is going to make you wish you had. |

I've been toying around with the idea and played a few practice matches and this is my current suggestion:
1 BC - 130 K
1 Troll - 100K
5 CD - 350 K
4 HG - 160 K
4 RR - 200 K
1 FF - 10 K
1 Apoth 50K
Total - 1 000 K
The troll is a useful feature, as long as accompanied by an "assistant brain". It gives the opponent something big to focus on and can easily arrange those 2D blocks when need be. MB comes in handy too.
The apothecary should help me keep 11 players on the pitch, thus removing the need for the 12th player. Also - rather save a BC from being injured than have one extra hobgob. 4 rerolls should be sufficient. |
