How about:
1 BC
6 CD
6 HG
4 RR
1 FF
Something close to this has already been suggested.
And I'd recommend giving the BC Break Tackle as soon as eligible.

I'm not sure about the high amount of players being an asset... I think I'll rather try my chances with the apothecary - he can cure the occasional casualty AND additionally keep the player on pitch. Rookie teams lack the strength skills to cause much more damage than that (except by a stroke of luck) so I should fair pretty well.
I can understand the high amount of players in a league setting, but in a tournament setting I would like to maximise the capability that I can squeeze simultaneously to the pitch.
5 CD's should be sugfficient and with the troll they should for a formidable front line. The occasional help from the BC and the hobgobs should complete the picture. I'll see how the team succeeds... |

| if you have extra players, you can foul more. fouling is the single most effective way to get rid of players, esp. with a dirty player. although i do like the idea of having a troll, and you're right, 5 blockers should be enough, but having an extra player or two really helps. |

Fan Factor affects one in four kick-offs. Thinking about it i'd go for a 5 or 6 FF as that's going to be greater than most Tourney teams. |

| At 50K a piece that 6 FF will cost you a Re-roll which is far more useful than the piece of mind you'll have knowing that you've got knowing you've got Pitch Invasion, Throw a rock, or Cheering Fans in the bag. |
