1 stone = 14lbs = 6.35kg = easy way for UK women to feel better about their weight as in "I only weight 9 stone 2 pounds". It doesn't sound as big a number. |

Personally I thought it was more along the lines of metric and imperial weights as opposed to UK women feeling better about their weight!
Maybe I am biased on this subject though, being both English and female. |
