that looks sweet. I kinda don't want to post my Stadium Picutres after seeing that. (also, cause all my minis are across the country in Toronto than where I am now, and some things need to be fixed up a bit too Sad )

Hirst Art molds are really interesting...

Do you know if their floor tiles are maybe good for building also an astrogranite pitch? Are they somehow similar to normal BB squares?

Or do I have to rebuild also the passing template?

I'm interesteed in building my own elf pitch! Rolling Eyes

the 1" tiles are too small, but I will post some pictures soon of how they looked when they are spaced to be in scale. (Am working on a pitch atm that does use the 1" tiles, but it is part of a theme so works within it.)

the 1 1/2" tiles are large, but they fit the big guys better. I used the 1 1/2" ones for making a dungeonbowl pitch.

I am guessing that it will run over 35 kilos for a finished stadium like that.

You may want to just put in grass matting and mark out a pitch.

Great project though. It will look gorgeous when done. Good luck with it.

I still want to do an elven pitch with walnut and cherry wood but I don't play elves so not much motivation to finish it Smile You could use the same premis as you would use to make a chess board and it would look sweet if your routed everything so there were depressions in the field. Well worth the effort for any elven coach Smile

While I was looking at the hirst molds today I noticed a few of the tiles that listed 1 1/4 and 1 1/2 " tile molds... I wonder if these would be good for the pitch.

I've used Hirstarts for this project for the dugouts and they definitely ARE heavy!

But they're also top quality...

Talk to Hirst and tell them what you're doing with their molds. 2 years ago at GenCon, one of our crew showed up with a pitch using Hirst molds and dental resin. WAY to HEAVY to be really portable but cool looking tiles.

Anyway, he worked with Hirst and they made him a custom set of molds the correct size of the BB squares. If they did it before, they can do it again. They probably already have their tooling set up and just need to make a few for you.

Yes - forget the dental plaster Razz

Let us know what Hirst says about the tiles, I'd also be interested in that mold Smile
