I don't think this Spike counts as a major does it? I really don't think that a 3 game tournament should count. I vote we make the Deathbowl a major again for 2006, and then look at the Canadian Open for a major in 2007. |

I agree with you on that, .....
I'm just saying orriginally there was to my knowledge 4+1 Major Tourneys
BLOODBOWL =England
CHAOS CUP =USA (Chicago)
DUNGEON BOWL =Germany
SPIKE =Canada (Oakville)
+
CANCON =Australia
They were suposed to be as I thought always Majors? (From what I have heard The Chaos Cup has been the typical GW joke & it looks as if the Spike is going that same route.
All the more reason to start getting my tourney going (some day)

I'm not saying its not, but from what I heard (could just be hear say) but I heard the Chaos Cup was not as successfull as desired.

Rod.
Well of course as for years it's up against the Gencon bowl hosted by the tallest ref in the world....and that means all the fun people are there, not at the chaos cup. And how many years has Galek argued that they should just put the Chao Cup there at Gencon where it will get enourmous attendence and support?
...but then again when was the last time any of us listened to someone in a Zebra costume.... (..."What you mean you call that a foul?!?"...) |

I wuld still not listen to them. Craig Bodycote is just another GW voice, and not one that I would be in a hurry to trust or listen to.
Rod, come down for the games, not for the major status. it will be fun either way. Just think, thnis way you can lose as much as usual, but it won't hurt your ranking any!
Seriously, it would be good to have you out for this one.

P.S. Is anyone still roganizing this thing from the MOBB? Are they going to get back to me about my questions? |

1) No, that or any other form of contact with a Skaven or any other Vermin is strickly against the Laws of the New World.
2) No, having a Goblin & a Kroxigor mate would not work. (& why would you ask that?)
3) Yes, if you really want to you can donate all your match winnings to the Save the Spike Fund. (but you never get winnings)
4) Not sure on this one we will get back to you...

Well like I said before,
Brie and myself will only be there for the Saturday portion of the tourney. We cannot take Friday off and are only leaving Friday night from Montreal.
Sorry about that guys and gals.
My vote is for Death Bowl to be a major again. Brian does such a kick ass job on it, that he deserves it for all the hard work.

I, without hesitation, would second that. |

What about you being drunk? Or the mutations and pre-tourney skills? |

I have never mutated while drunk, & if I did I have no idea how skilled I would be before, during, or after the tourney!
