| Well guys, I'm afraid I'm not going to be there either. The glacial speed at which things are progressing means I can find better uses for my time and money. |

| Just thought I'd make it official - I won't be going now. This is due to the continuing lack of firm details about the event, not to mention I believe everyone I was looking forward to hanging out with there has already withdrawn from the team (apart from Oz). |

I had been hoping to use some frequent flyer points to get half-way to UK if not further, but I've used most of them getting to CanCon instead, since at least I know that's on and will (probably) have someone competent running it.
If it gets postponed to 2008 there is a chance I might be interested, but only it looks like the organisers know what they are doing. Given my lack of local players to practice with, I may have retired by then. |

It may be too late already for the upcoming one...but I put it too you that we forget about this World Cup biz..and start saving to attend the Dutch Open in Amerstadam! It is in Feb...too soon for me this time...but next? C'mon...I am sure DC would want to come with me!  |

| Tulips is the one I'd want to play in Amsterdam. Its invite only, but I reckon you'd be able to get hooked up for it. |

I still think it would be worth organising a team for the world cup. You are right in it has not been well organised up until this point, but things are suddenly happening!
Ad if we don't have a team - then we don't have a chance of winning and hosting in 2011! |
