Here's my Pro Elf team, created with modified eldar minis. I don't much care for the BB pro elf minis, and I've always been a fan of the eldar figures, so it just made sense.
I read a few topics on various forums detailing which aspect warrior should be which position, but in the end I decided to go with the minis that looked like their positions. Therefore, dark reapers became blitzers (since, without the launchers, they look like they're getting ready to hit something), striking scorpions became catchers (since most of them just look like they're hauling tail) and howling banshees became throwers (because, well... hawks and dragons would take too much time to convert, and big helmets are cool).
So here they are. Whaddaya think?
Team picture day! (everybody smile)
The line
Blitzers
Catchers
Throwers

The most heavily armored pro elves ever
they still squish when I hit them though . . .
and the score at the end doesn't matter as long as I can kill an elf or two (or at least that's what i keep telling myself) |

The armor is purely ceremonial.
Yes, they still squish when you hit them, but it only took 4 standing elves to score the game-winning touchdown. The elves, despite their losses, did a big victory dance... albeit after running far, far away.
We do not fear the death of linemen, for they are squishy an easily replaced. |

Very nice looking team. It is a bit "sci fi" for my personal taste, but they would be a pleasure to play against. The paint job is fantastic. |

No, doesn't fit the mould in my opinion, stick guns on them and use them in 40k. |

I like them. I had an idea along the same line a while back, but its a) just a project for now (maybe I´ll get it done until the end of the year) and b) I wanted to use only Banshees and 2 Banshee Exarchs.
(It´s going to be my tourney team for Zons/HE/WE/ProElves) |

A great team for a 40k/futuristic based version of BB.
For a Fantasy based version, I don't like them - they still look to "sci-fi" imo.
nicely posed and painted though. |

I think they suit High Elves more than Pro-Elves tbh. Nice paint job on the minis though. |

I'll probably end up using them as high elves at some point. I've never been overly concerned with the mould or making my team's minis match the fluff - I just like to paint cool figures.
My next project is my undead team, which contains a lot of Confrontation figures. Any hackles going to get raised if I post photos of that team here?
Thanks for the comments everyone! |

Why would you ask that? Do you think this is a site for the GW fanboys?
I love to see different looking models, from whatever range.
Love what you did with the eldar BTW!

Nah, didn't think it was a site for GW fanboys, but the fanboys tend to infiltrate from time to time... they're sneaky.
I suppose it was mostly a rhetorical question. Probably take me a week or so to get the undead finished up (more if I decide to use Rackham zombies instead of GW zombies). I'll post photos when they're done. Should be entertaining, since the team and players names are themed after Morris Day and the Time... don't ask. |

Hell no! I love to see conversions! The Rackham stuff is excellent. |
