I have only just got into the legacy team thing, beginning with the rotters for 2006. But from what I know, there is not set standard that people are expected to achieve in order to be a legacy team painter.
If I were to win one of the teams, I would not be so worried about the quality of the othert paint jobs, to be honest. I would just be happy to have a team that is the collective contribution of many NAF coaches - no matter what their paint jobs are like.
Do it to be part of something that will go down in history. To me it is a cool way to leave my mark.
I couldn't have said it better myself. |

Voted undead as well. Any old orc, dwarf or norse drunkard can be turned into a zombie with a minimum of effort so hopefully this team will encourage more people to participate. Plus undead teams can probably get away with a somewhat inconsistent painting style from one fig to the next which suits a legacy team with different painters.
Also I definitely agree with what Spazzfist and others are saying about level of painting skill and participation. To me, it's only important that you put in a decent effort according to your own abilities. There shouldn't be an objective level of quality that figs have to meet. That said, I don't think it's great if someone dashes off a piece of crap that's way beneath their level of skill just to get a fig on the team. It is a legacy team after all.... |

I know I'm not the best painter but its always fun to have a mini or two that you have just to paint and not have to do 15 others |

Though I had to drop out of the 2006 team, I had fun getting a skink together for the '05 team. Count me in...
...oh yeah, I love Big Hats....
BTW, I'm guessing that the teams omitted from the choices are due to their having already been done as a legacy team (Vamps, Lizzies, Nurgle, etc...). Has a Human team been done, or a Skaven team? |

I actually just copied the poll from the 2006 legacy team voting thread with Nurgle omitted. I'm not 100% certain as to where those poll choices came from...But I am assuming that the omitted teams were previously done. |

yeah, the choices came from some research that I did for the 06 team. (now updated with Nurgle 06)
Chaos (TBB 04)
Dark Elf (TBB 06)
Goblin (Spanish 04, TBB 03)
Human (Spanish 06, NBA 05)
Lizardmen (NAF 05)
Necromantic (NBA 04)
Norse (NAF 04)
Nurgle's Rotters (NAF 06)
Orc (FBB 04)
Skaven (TBB 05)
Vampire (NAF 03)
that leaves
Amazon
Chaos Dwarf
Dwarf
Halfling
High Elf
Khemri
Ogre
Pro Elf
Undead
Wood Elf
It wasn't an exhaustive search, but hit most that I could easily find |

I've never done this before and I'm not the best, or even close, but I'll give it a go.
I voted Khemri. |

undead seems to be a consensus, but if we have enough people I don't see why we can't also have 2 werewolves and 2 golems. . . any thoughts? |

The question is whether enough people will be willing to paint undead-y things...
A lot of votes were cast, and not many people stated they would paint.
But sure, if we have enough _committed_ painters, we could throw a couple golems and werewolfs in and make the team a two-fer. |

If it´s going to be undead, i would like to make sure we have a complete undead team first, then we could think about doing additional minis to make it playable as necros. Maybe give the wolves and golems to latecomers during the year ... |
