if someone with dauntless and frenzy like a dwarf trollslayer goes to make a block on a mummy, makes his dauntless check, rolls a push against the mummy so he has to follow up and make another block, does he get to keep his dauntless for the following block or does he have to roll a new dauntless?

I would think he would get to keep his first roll be it good or bad but the rules dont say exactly one way or another.

anyone know for sure?

I'm not 100% on this, but I'm pretty sure that the official ruling is that it's a separate dauntless roll for each block.

Seperate roll for each block is the official rule.
