Hello All,
I'm about to go to a small Blood Bowl Tournement and thought I'd give my Amazons a go (having never used them!). I'm about to have a few games with them I woundered what what I should take as a starting team.
The format of the tournement is simular to that of the blood Bowl GT, so skiil points and dean and injured don't count for anything after each game.
Any help welcome thanks. |

6 linemen (give 2 guard)
1 thrower (give accurate)
4 blitzers (they are blodgers) (give 1 piling on)
1 catcher (give block skill)
3 rerolls
5 ff
(in a 5 skill set) |

No Sure Hands anywhere? Hmm, I'd add Sure Hands, probably on the thrower. Also, Piling On is a 2nd skill choice after Mighty Blow.
And why FF? All that gets you in a tourney is +FAME, and it's not guaranteed. You'd be better off getting more rerolls (with some positional re-jigging) or an apo.
But the most important part is there: all four Blitzers. |

Hi,
Lineswomen can't have guard in the tournement as it's a str skill and they'd need a double. and really only 1 catcher? Having talked to some of my friends they are thinking of not having a 12th player and going for Apocs. The reasoning being you pay 90k for a Blitzer and only 50K to keep him on the pitch.
I'm now thinking of:-
1 Thrower (sure hands or accurate)
4 Blitzers (2 with guard)
2 Catchers (Block on both)
6 linewomen
with ether
3 FF
2 Re-rolls
1 Apoc
or
3 FF
3 re-rolls
or
loss a lineswoman
3 FF
3 Re-rolls
1 Apoc
Thoughts? |

I like your list BD123. With it I'd take the following though:
3RR
1FF
1Assistanc coach
1Cheerleader.
As for skills, get a thrower sure hands (free re-roll? thanks very much). Block on both catchers (ruin peoples day) and then I'd personally go mighty blow on two blitzers (or possibly MB on one with guard on another). |

I'll try that out, my friends have organsied a mock tournement day were we'll try out skill combos and see how are teams do.
I'll post how it goes. |

4 blitzers, 8 linewomen. 4RR?
Give all the blitzers guard, or one sure hands if you are worried about strip ball. Spare skills block or wrestle or linewomen.
Run the ball, don't pass. |

One thing to keep in mind is that FF is not as good in tournaments as coaches and cheerleaders. You are more likely to win rerolls on the kick-off table with extra coaches and cheerleaders than you are with Fan Factor. Keep the FF at zero, and divide the money into the other two. |
