Well I wanna start an High elf team, but hate the look of both the fantasy highelves and the BB highelf models.... and i think Eldar from 40k is to Sci-fi to fit properly, and the shadowforge ladies are not posh enough to do the trick either...

So im wondering if someone have some ideas that i can steal Wink or point me to some figs that i might have overlooked...

Thanks in advance Smile

I'll seen some really nice teams converted from Harlequin, mainly Wood Elf teams bbut I see no reason why High Elves shouldn't get in on the action.

Well I think really you have to define the look you're after - GW Elves are very posh looking, but the Shadowforge ones not posh enough?

If you're a competent modeller, hav you thought about Rackham's old metal Cynwall range of Elves? They're probably getting harder to come by now, but a lot of places have been selling them cheap to clear.

Selsym linemen:

Asadar blitzers:

Varsym catchers:

Synchonime thrower:

I've been thinking too about converting those Rackam elves... but the problem isn't the conversion (not so easy, but neither so hard), but finding the miniatures... as Rackam has closed Crying or Very sad

The only way is ebay...

I thought Rackham were still going? I just thought they were redoing all of the fantasy range.

Rackham now only do pre-painted plastic, and don't supply metal anymore. Most online shops I've seen will have sold off their stock as well by now.

Here in Italy a few shop keepers, when I tried to ask about those miniatures, loughted out loudly... Confused

I think this meant they're "a bit" hard to find. Rolling Eyes

rackham are re-releasing all of their metal models as their "legends" range or somthing similar

you can still by them from simple miniatures in the uk usually "3 for 2"

I kinda ran into the same problem awhile ago when I started my High Elves, problem was I hated the line elf helmts, soltion was to saw out the exisiting head and replace then from the ones that come with HE bowmen. You have to do abit of cutting and trimming to fit them and and once there green stuff the hair back but the overall look was quite good. I decided to leave the orignial head on the thower and blitzers just so that they look different from the normal guys.
