I dont know if there is any technique in it. 
I started with spraying them all white and after that I ONLY used the new Games Workshop Citadel Washes.
For the stone troll I used Badab Black and Levithian Purple and some Arumen Blue for the claw/nails. Oh allmost forgott, the hairy part is the Gryphonne Sepia wash.
It isnt harder that that. Easy and good looking

Thx! I have one killer gobbo. 7/3/3/7 Block + Guard. And another two with +1st but they dont have block (Diving tackle and sidestep). The Trolls arent that friendly either. Genius George have Guard, Block, Pro (stone) and Belgien Blue have Guard, block, break tackle (Ice Troll).
I´ll notice that I havent post any team picture and some of the other models, will fix that when I get home.
EDIT: Cant find my cable so I can recharge the battery for my camera. Picture comming, but I dont know when  |

Those Trolls do know how to put some muscle in the game, and the gobbo must be a nasty surprise for your opponents!!
