Well, that's your answer then. Go for the RSF and get PO on your next skill, unless the treeman grants you doubles and you can take a Claw. |

Wow, the RSF paid HUGE dividends tonight. 4 casualties, 2 of which were niggles!!!
But now I have a new dilemma...BC got doubles on his third skill. First two are block and sure hands....not the worst problem to have mind you |

If you are only interested in getting casualties the RSF is better than Claw. But claw gets 20% more opponents off the pitch (via KO's) and means more stuns that can be extremely useful tactically.
Have a look at http://www.irwilliams.com/ecbbl/injury.php if you want some more detailed stats.
It doesn't cover combos with MB. |

Since he sounds like your ball handler...maybe Dodge wouldn't be a bad choice. |

Catch is intriguing as it helps on interceptions/handoffs as well...I have nobody with Pass though. Hmm...
Leader could help balance out my WA mino, but I'd rather throw that on a CD.
Well, I have weeks to go before my next match so any suggestions are certainly welcome! Thanks to those who have already responded.
p.s. Congrats on your 100th post Fred! |

I'd suggest Dodge, making him a hardier ball handler. Break Tackle can be your next skill with him, and Dodge will let you reroll that. He'll be a terror on defence as well as offence. |

RSC would have to my preference as well, followed closely by Piling On at 31 SPP's, the dude will be a killer from hell.
Check out the FUMBBL Top 10 and the top Cas causers are usually Minotaurs with the Block RSC and Piling On combo.
Link is below.
http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=stats&op=top10
Also this player was the top CAS for a long time. He has only played 26 games in comparison to 56 for the top Cas player.
http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&op=view&player_id=5596
Hope that made sense, just my two cents, the decision is yours, all arguments have a valid point, and in my opinion the RSC will get you to the 31 SPP level very quickly.
And remember the way the Skills are sorted on the FUMBBL site is not the way they were selected.

For the BC I'd take Break Tackle 1st and on a double Stand Firm. Anything that stops them getting pinned is very useful. They are great blitzers. |

but he is using him as a dedicated ball handler. I think dodge would be a good skill in view of his having already taken sure hands. |

The BC just kind of emerged as my ball handler. He had speed & strength so it seemed a good fit to give him the ball early on. That and everybody else just kept dropping the ball. As he advanced block and sure hands seemed a perfect extension. So far he has 11 TD's in 7 games.
My next opponent is a dwarf team, but he is mathematically eliminated from the playoffs (our league is set up like the American NFL). That means no teams full of Tackle in the playoffs (except me). I guess that means I'm leaning towards Dodge, and if/when he gets his 4th skill Break Tackle.
Piling on is definitely my targeted 3rd skill for my mino, and 4/6 of my CD's now have Guard - one also has mighty blow. I find that CD's are hard to advance in skills.
I do have another BC, but so far he only has block. I was planning on making him a more defensive player. Strip Ball, Pass Block, etc are on my wish list for him so far. Any thoughts on a good defensive BC?
What I'd really love is doubles on a hobgob so I could grab Pass.
BTW Thanks everyone, I really appreciate all of the input.

First, thanks for the congrats Melifaxis !
I am doing the same thing with my BC's : one ball handler and one defensive end !
My defensive one has Block and Strip Ball, he might go for mighty blow or break tackle on his next skill (3 spp away).
My offensive BC is a legend: yesterday, he scored 3 TD's and added an Interception for 11 SPP's !! After the game, I got double 6 on his skill roll !!!!! So now, he reads like this:
Bud Spencer, 6 5 2 9, Sprint, Sure Feet, Thick Skull, Catch, Block Break Tackle

*drool*
Nice skills too.
Do you have a mino? What about CD's? I'm going Guard first on them (Leader if I get doubles on one of them to help hose down WA angst).
Hobgoblins - One kicker, One w/ block, one w/ dirty player so far. Doubles will be pass if I ever get it. Mostly I will take block or pro as a 1st skill I think, but I wanted a kicker quick. I have used that to great benefit with my BC on the wing.
We'll turn this thread into Chaos Dwarves 101 yet!! |

Here's my line-up Melifaxis:
CD 1: No skill (new guy replacing a niggled vet!)
CD 2: Guard, Mighty Blow
CD 3: +1 MA, +1 ST
CD 4: Guard, Mighty Blow, Stand Firm
CD 5: Break Tackle, Mighty Blow (rookie mistake on the first skill )
CD 6: Dirty Player, Dauntless (we used to get SPP for fouls in our first season!)
HG 1: +1 ST, Guard, Block
HG 2: Block, +1 AG, Nerves of Steel
HG 3: Block, Dodge, Strip Ball, Pass Block
HG 4: Block
2 rookie HG without skill, but 5 SPP's each
BC 1 is two answers up !
BC 2: Block, Strip Ball (thinking of MBlow or Break Tackle)
and yes, I got a Mino with Block and I really like it!
