Let say I have a wild animal
and no one is really around him (or within his normal movement)
can I declare my blitz roll anything but a 1 and move him in any direction as I see fit (including GFI) without making contact with an opponent |

Yes, you do not have to blitz but the blitz action is then wasted and therefore lost for the rest of your turn.
Some players even declare a blitz when their wild animal is prone, to get him on his feet again. |
