This is the Apothecary for my high elf team Les Feés Vert. After a scary situation where I could have lost my prominent player for my team I realized that I should have an apothecary. So, I designed a healing pool to act as the apothecary:

Stop-action photography.

What you don't realize is that while it LOOKS like it could be a special effect created by dripping clear resin "water effects" over a piece of clear fishing line, this is in fact an actual working water fountain with a miniature pump in the base and actual plumbing.

No, seriously, you can do that with the water effects stuff that comes in a tube.

The pouring water was done with several strands of fishing line that are glued in place than coated in epoxy. Pretty simple to do.

So, I cribbed this idea shamelessly for the 2009 Ausbowl legacy team. I'm an extremely poor painter when it comes to miniatures, but I've had some experience with Hirst molds and this idea really impressed me so I gave it a crack.

Mine is a corrupted version, with a warpstone that has transformed the water into green ooze. Unfortunately I didn't get a particularly good shot of it, so the ooze seems very "grainy" due to tiny airbubbles that you can barely see in normal light. I didn't do the pouring water because I didn't have any fishing line kicking about, so mines more of a corrupted well than a fountain Wink

It's painted in burnished copper, with sepia wash over the top to take the shine off it. I did experiment with some corroded green on a few test pieces, but I'm really rubbish with paint and I couldn't get it looking right.
