Hi,

in the upcoming day's I'll put the payment details here.

For the moment I can say that we'll open up a paypal account and probabely try to get a bank account into place as well. Paying via Iban is much cheaper than paypal after all.

Payment:
Tuesday (evening European Time) or wednesday morning I'll post the payment details.
For European teams and individuals, I'll provide an IBAN number.
For non-European teams and individuals, you can use the paypal account.

Because IBAN will be more work, the payment ending will be 16 march.
If you or your team hasn't paid by then, we'll pick the first in line and offer them your (teams) spot.

Lucy

I assume IBAN (?) means we can transfer direct from bank accounts rather than paypal...?

IBAN = International Bank Account Number

Lucy will need to check that but thinking logically, there is no reason the UK teams cant pay the Treasurer direct and then we pay as one for the minimal bank charge. This is what we did for the first world cup. We have two weeks don't forget but yes, that PP questions needs to be answered.

Let me be honest, If I allow it for you, I should allow it for everyone. Most people would prefer this and would do it this way.
Let me put it like this. 75 individual payments using paypal might cost us too much on an already tight budget.
So, please please please use IBAN if you're European.
I can't stop you from using Paypal.

I am with you totally. You set the rules, everyone should follow. If you want IBAN, the teams have more than enough time to sort it.

Hi !

you can also ask for more € if people use paypal.

i don't know how many take paypal but it could be something like :
- 666€ with IBAN
- 700€ with paypal.

With this sort of rule, people can choose and you will be sure to have 666€ for each team !

my 2 cents

PS : thank for all lucy dave and the other ! i appreciate

agree with azzroag, i am sure most people will want to pay less and will use IBAN with this proposition. (if people are tight in budget, the 34€ is not worth the 1-2 hours spent to set up the IBAN process)
if they really do want to use paypal then they pay for it, you don't have to pay for it.
(maybe this rule can be soften for non european people because you don't want them to cancel their submission)

Hmm... Paying to an IBAN number (if all the information is on hand and correct) is absolutly not a problem on danish netbanks, in fact it is just as easy as paypal ;9

But maybe we are just the lucky once Razz

Same here in Spain and particulary in my bank even we don't have any extra charges for it.

However, I don't know about anyone else, but if I'd collected 600euros to my Paypal account (as was the original idea, even if it wasn't given as a specific instruction) I'd have problems getting that paided through IBAN - I don't have 600e kicking around spare (mores the pity).
