Any Star Players that begin with a team DO NOT have the Loner skill, as they have been playing with the team since their rookie days.

Last time (2011), that was true for Star player that don't normally have loner (i.e. Not the big guys)

is it still the same or are big guys loosing loner as well ?

The idea is to make the players as though they were raised from rookie status on the team. The point of all star players having Loner is justified by the fact that they are not used to playing with the team on a regular basis. As this is not the case with the drafted Star Players for the Q'ermitt, normal Star Players do not have Loner.

However, on a regular team Big Guys have Loner, even as rookies. this is because they are so stupid, that they are difficult to train.

Even if a Big Guy Star Player does not have a stupidity Negatrait (i.e. Bonehead, Wild Animal or Really Stupid) he WILL STILL HAVE LONER

Just like last time (it took me some time to find, so I put it anyway Very Happy)

Any Big Guy you have on a team is going to have Loner, so why should the Star Player be any different?

Correct me if I am wrong, but Bertha Bigfist and Brick F'Arth are the only two Big Guys who have their original negatrait. Grashnak, Morg, Ripper, Headsplitter, they have all lost theirs. Don't like it? Don't buy them! I don't understand your poitn about Zug and Hthark as their type never had any negatrait to begin with.

All Big Guys have loner. Period. Whether a rookie or a Star. If the Star happens to have another negatrait, so be it

The one exception to this rule would be Deeproot Strongbranch, and this is only if he is playing with halflings. Halfling treemen are the only rookie Big Guys in the game who do not start with Loner, so I am not going to impose it in this case. However, if Deeproot was hired for a wood elf team, then he will have Loner (because rookie treemen on wood elf teams start with Loner).

Best Smack Talk Award

One of the prizes given at the Challenge of Q'ermitt is for the best smack talk that happens before an during the tournament.

The award is given to the person who delivers regular and funny smack talk that is creative in it's delivery. Here are a couple of great examples from previous winners:

It's funny you're taking about that, 'cause look what I found in my morning beer:

and one of my all-time favourites:

The smack talk is intended to be fun, not personally insulting.. so let's get to it and see who can dethrone Laurent from his Smack Talk champion status!

I accidentally erased all of my private messages, so could all the people who had purchased star players get back to me and let me know who purchased what, so I can have that clear again?

Thanks!

Since I'm the "Odd Man Out" for the tourney I'll not reserve any Star Player, as it would be unfair if I reserved that player, but ended up not playing due to an even number showing up, & thus scewing anyone that wanted that Star Player in team building.

But even as the odd man out, I think that you should be eligible for the Smack Talk award! At this point, you could win by default!

Also, are you going to be registering for the Stunty Cup? We still have spots open for that.

Boomer Eziasson is now taken!

If anyone is looking to scoop up any of the star players, you had better get on it!

Also, for anyone coming in from out of town and looking to crash at the tourney location, there is plenty of room, but I would strongly suggest that people bring their own air matresses, etc. There will be two double beds that will be available, so an sleep 2 normally, 4 if you spoon, or 26 if you like it like Dan't mom does it!

Guys, you need to come to Qermitt for no other reason than the weather tokens. Holy crap, are they cool. Spazz gave me a preview of them this weekend and they're amazing. Definitely the best tourney premium I've seen!

@Laurant: if yo steal these photos like u did last year I will beat you back France; free of charge!!
