The next sequel of the Big Boys Battle will be on May 14, 2015, again in Lindau, again a 1-day-tourney in the yard, incl. Grill-out and free beer

(the website is in German, but if you have questions, please send me a PM)

Big Boys Battle

Ogres on the Pitch

Tournament-Rules
• All Teams will have a team budget of exact 1,100,000 gold pieces, which needs to be used up entirely. Every team has at least 11 players, 0-8 Re-Rolls and 0-1 Apothecaries. Cheerleader, Assistant Coaches and Fan Factor may also be bought from this budget.

• Starplayers are only allowed if at least 11 regular players are already on the roster. In case both teams have the same starplayer on their roster, he will play for neither team.

• Inducements, Wizards, Playing Cards and Freebooter are not allowed.

• The current rule set of the „BB Competition Rules Pack“ will be used. In addition Slann, Chaos Pact and Underworld Teams may play as well.

• Halfling teams may hire a Master Chef for 100k gold coins. Goblins may buy 0-2 bribes for 50k gold coins each. All other Stunty-teams (see below) may get 0-1 bribe for 100k gold coins. Chef and Bribes are valid for all four games and count towards the team value (are therefore part of the 1100kgc).

• Before the start of the tourney, each team needs to name on player team captain. This player needs to be from the 0-12 or 0-16 player list (lineman) of the race. This captain receives one skill from the “General” skill list and one “Adaptive Skill”. This “Adaptive Skill” can be chosen before each game from the regular skill categories of the player, even after the opponent is known. Once during the tournament this skill may be chosen from the list of skills, which can be taken on doubles. The captain does not receive any further skills.

• In addition to the skills of the captain, further skills may be given to the other players. A race-depended “Training budget” is made available. From this budget skills can be given to the players, where either two skills from the “Double” category may be taken or up to one stat increase. On latter a luxury tax will be added.
The costs for the skills are
Normal skill: 20kgp
Double skill: 30kgp
MV/AV-Stat Increase: 40kgp
AG/ST-Stat Increase: 60kgp
Training Budget:
140kgp: Goblin, Halfling, Ogre, Underworld
120kgp: Chaos, Chaos Pact, Elf, High Elf, Human, Nurgle, Slann, Vampire, Stunty-Lizardman
100kgp: all other teams, which are not listed
Ever player may receive only one extra skill. Starplayer may not receive an extra skill.

• There is no Post Game Sequence. Dead and injured players are healed after each game automatically.

• In case a team gets the possibilities to raise the dead they can use these zombies only during the current game and may not used for any game thereafter.

• The 4-minute-rule is basically no in effect during the tournament. After 1¾ hours of game time a warning is given, that after 2¼ h the games will rigorously stopped (even within a turn). If a game has not started turn 3 of the second half at the 1¾h-warning turns may not exceed 3 minutes per coach.
There is no Illegal Procedure for not moving your turn marker.

•Concede: 0 (no Boni)

Additional Points (Boni):
•Per TD: 5 (max. 3 per game)
•Per CAS: 4 (max. 3 per game)
• “There was a Ball?” Bonus: Lost the game, but more CAS as the opponent: 3
• “It was close” Bonus: Lost by TD: 5
• “Miss Universe“ Bonus: Painted team: 3
• “Big Boy“ Bonus: Painted Ogre miniature as fan: 1

Prices/Special-Event-Rules:
1. Round: Sea-Quake
In case of a weather roll „Blizzard“, the weather turns to “Nice” and you roll a D8 for each player on the pitch. Caused by a seaquake the player is dislocated by one square in that direction. If this square is occupied by another player, nothing happens and the player stays in the original square. In case a player slides off the pitch, he will be placed into the reserve box. Both coaches roll alternating for each player, starting with a player of the kicking team.

2. Round: Overmotivated Ogre-Fans
The ogres in the audience are somewhat frustrated with the performance of some teams and want to show the players how it’s done right. Two ogres run onto the pitch when the kick-off results is either „Cheering Fans“ or „Brilliant Coaching“ is rolled. Each ogre will be placed in any square of the endzones and each will be part of each team until the next kick-off. Afterwards the ogres will leave the pitch satisfied and will be celebrated by the other fans.

3. Round Bought Ref
The first Kick-Off event of all games in this round is „Get the Ref“. The most corrupt and/or blind Ref of all games will be determined. If a foul is not “seen” by the ref or the ref is successfully bribed the coach will get a referee-point. The coach with the most referee-points at the end of the round will get the „golden“ whistle.

4. Round: Battle of The Chefs
Since the tourney is getting closer to its end, the Halfling chefs will be taking more care of the players. Before the game, both coaches roll a D6 and add their FAME. The chef with the higher value may chose in which half he will cook first. The other chef will cook in the other half first. Before each half the first cook rolls a D6. When the roll is 2 and higher, a re-roll of the opponent is stolen. The other cook has now the opportunity to get the re-roll back by rolling a D6. If the roll is 4-6 he is successful, if the roll is 2-3 is not successful, but if he rolls a 1 he loses another re-roll to the opponent.

Entire Tourney: Winner
The Coach with the most points is the winner of the tournament and receives a price

Entire Tourney: Best Player
All regular SPP (except MVP) are tracked (COMP, TD, CAS, INT). The coach with the best player gets a price.

Entire Tourney: Most Kills
The coach of the team, which inflicts the most kills (including fouls, fans, dodges, etc.), gets a price. A valid kill is only counted if there is any kind of interaction with an opposing player. A throw-team-mate landing will only count as kill if the landing did fail due to a tackle zone modifier (you receive double points when the thrown player lands on another player and both players die).

Entire Tourney: Most Double Skulls

The coach with the most skulls ( ) during the whole tournament gets a price. The following results are valid:
- 1D-Block: Skull, RR, Skull: 1 skull-point
- 2D-Block: Double Skull: 2 skull-points
- 2D-Block: Double Skulls, RR, Double Skulls: 5 skull-points
- 3D-Block: Triple Skull: 4 skull-points
- 3D-Block: Triple Skull, RR, Triple Skull: 10 skull-points

- Halflings
- Goblins
- Lizardmen without Sauri
- Underworld only with Troll und Linerats
- Oger with max. 4 Ogers
