So, you think you are ready for the WorldCup  
The registration for the World Cup 2015 are closed, now it's time for training! To this end, the Azes are happy to welcome you to the Rugbowl 2015 (11th edition!) in Toulouse.
Short version
When? : week-end of the 22th of august 2015 (friday evening included).
Where? : camping municipal du Pont Tourné, 32600 l'Isle Jourdain, France (near Toulouse).
How? : team tournament with team of 6, outdoors, with the rules of the World Cup on 5 rounds.
How many? : 12 teams max (72 people).
How much? : €360 per team of 6 players (€ 60 per player, same price since 2010).
Housing and meals? : all meals included from friday evening to sunday noon. Just bring your tent and your sleeping bag.
And more : Sun, fresh beer, a a leisure area around a lake, petanque tournament, taxis service between Toulouse (train station or airport) and the tournament.
Detailed version
One more time, the Azes welcome you the week-end of the 22th of august (friday evening included) in Toulouse area, for the 11th edition of the Rugbowl.
Rugbowl 2015 will take place as previously, outdoors, in the municipal camping du pont tourné at Isle Jourdain, near a leisure area around a lake where you can go freshen up. As usual, the tournament will oppose teams of 6 players!
This site is located 30 minutes from Toulouse by the RN 124 road ([url=https://www.google.fr/maps/place/Toulouse/@43.7912146,-0.1704763,7z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x12aebb6fec7552ff:0x406f69c2f411030]Come to us ![/url].
We welcome you as soon as friday end of afternoon, bring your tent, your sleeping bag, your minis, possibly your favorite games and your petanque balls for the petanque tournament which will be held on Saturday!
Registration is of 360 euro per team to be settled by the captain.
Payment can be made by bank transfer (contact me by PM for bank details).
This registration includes:
Participation in the tournament,
Access to the campsite,
Access to nearby leisure area,
Meals on Saturday and Sunday (Saturday morning, noon and evening, Sunday morning and noon),
An appetizer on Friday evening,
The Saturday evening aperitif,
Soft drinks.
In addition, a bar offers fresh beers 
We will welcome you from Friday late afternoon, with the possibility to enjoy leisure area
A accompanying price (access to the campsite + meal) is available for 35 euros. Families are welcome.
Rules
Tournament by teams of 6 on 5 rounds in resurrection mode (all injuries and deads are removed at the end of a match, no SPP earned). Pairing by Swiss round, except for the first round.
Rugbowl 2015 will apply the rules of the World Cup for team creation and skills selection. As we have only 5 rounds instead of 9, we will apply the following changes:
- our rounds 1 and 2 will be played with the skills selection of the WC day 1
- our rounds 3 and 4 will be played with the skills selection of the WC day 2
- our round 5 will be played with the skills selection of the WC day 3
The challenge:
For the first round, pairing will be random or based on challenges, as we offer you the possibilty to challenge a team.
The challenges must be formulated to rugbowl's staff, on the friday evening. They can also be made on the "Rugbowl post" on FranceBloodBowl forum or send by PM to NodeR on FranceBloodBowl forum as well.
Each team can make only one challenge.
If the challenge is accepted, it will be integrated in the pairing of round 1.
If the challenge is rejected, the challenged team will suffer from a malus of -1 to the FAME rolls if they met their challenger during the tournament.
By the way it is not mandatory to challenge another team. In this case - and if you didn't accept another team challenge - chance will decide the pairing of your team for the round 1. The challenges are to be launched before midnight 21/08/2015.
Next rounds will be decide according to Swiss round rules.
Scoring:
Team scoring and ranking:
Points collected by duel (coach against coach) :
- victory: 1 pt
- draw: 0.5 pt
Points collected per round (team against team) :
- the winning team scores 1 additional point (which is added to the total points collected in duels)
- if the result is a tied, each team score 0.5 pt
By winning a round 6-0, your team will earn 7 points (6 from duel, 1 for team winning).
In case of a tie between 2 teams, we will apply the following tie breakers :
- 1/ outcome of their direct opposition (if possible)
- 2/ sum of the “opponents pointsâ€
- 3/ differential TD + casualties
Individual scoring and ranking:
- win: 100 000 pts
- draw: 50 000 pts
- bonus per touchdown: 3 pts
- bonus per casualties: 2 pts
- team victory bonus = 100 pts
- team draw bonus = 50 pts
Painting contest:
At the end of the fourth round, each team (represented by his captain) and the staff (represented by Galladur), should vote to designate the "most charismatic team" of the tournament miniatures team (choice of conversions, choice of color scheme, quality of painting, etc...).
Petanque competitions:
Side event of the Rugbowl, since the second edition, a 'petanque' tournament by triplette is organized on Saturday afternoon.
Rewards:
Many games provided by our partner Edge Entertainment (many thanks to them) will be given for winning team, winning individual, best scorer, etc. |
