That's great! If we miraculously manage to hit the 24, the winner is even eligible to a NAF trophy.

I'm pretty sure it is 12+ for a NAF Trophy not 24+ , unless that has changed mind you.

pretty sure that was Weiss' german sense of humour coming through...

Regardless of regional humor, it's 24 for a 1-day tournament.

Hence why I never give one out at Dagger Bowl...never break 24 attendees.

All hail the mighty tournament director, but according to the NAF site it is 24+ for a tournament with three games only. If I had squeezed in a fourth match, it had been 12+.

@DarkOrk20: I hope this mysterious Ohio person is not you! Shouldn't your employer know by now that you are respecting Shabbat and can't come to work on Saturdays?

Its not official yet. We are working this Saturday but I am attending my nephew's wedding. I'm really torn up about it.

It's called shorthand! Are there many 1-day, 4-rounders? I ran one in March and everyone was pretty surly by the end of it.

(If you want to cite sanctioning procedure, tournaments are supposed to be submitted 8 weeks beforehand. Shocked )

I considered 4 games, but the opening hours of the game store did not allow for that. Which made the decision easy.

I agree 4 is a bit stressful, but with so many participants, three games will very likely result in the winner being determined by tie breakers. We might end up with three people who won all three matches.

Oh, I agree. And that's from someone who runs 3-round tournaments almost exclusively.

Good news: An old friend, known to most of us under his NAF name Peter_Meers, is making an appearance at Orion Cup!

Rumours that his presence is connected to the shooting of the latest Gotham movie in Toronto have not been confirmed.
