Sorry Galak, Wasn't trying to lay down a rule or anything, heav.. um hell forbid. Twisted Evil

I was just thinking out loud and using the opportunity to take a shot at the resident buffy fanatic. I would never in any way shape or form tell someone how to do their figs, it would drive me nuts too. I apologize if it came off that way. And I won't care if the bases are all different when I have them in my case. Twisted Evil Laughing

I support freedom on the base design, however agreeing on either black or green base rings would add to the look of the team imo.

I'd support black (but painted, not the pure plastics) and i'll do them this way if we do not fix it. Very Happy

I'd agree to lay of the rules. For example, even if the poll had finished as a thumbs up for static grass, I'd still have flocked mine, just because that's all I have access to.

I think we're leaning towards base freedom from the looks of it. Ballast is available pretty much anywhere they have train sets - but really it's just fine sand. Not sure about online sources. My local hobby shop happens to have trains sets too.

Sorry guys ... not trying to be a buzzkill. Just the first TBB legacy team agreed on paint schema and they took off from there and I thought that team looked pretty darn good together.

Get some sand and 2 really hard surfaces... start grinding. You can make as much as you want and it's alot cheaper too. Twisted Evil

I'm still puzzled by Darkson 'not having access to' static grass.
Do you just mean you haven't got any? Smile

Exactly, and I haven't got the spare cash to buy any (plus none of the local stores sells it, so it's a trip to a GW store).

So brown ballast is sand colored? If so I have plenty of that. I thought it was a darker brown.

As for hobby shops, good luck trying to find one around here that sells anything useful to the GW hobby. The only hobby store within 100 miles from my house only carries things for remote controlled planes and cars!

It's more of an earthy dirt color...like you would find on a football field under the grass...we don't have to worry too much about the bases though. If you want some I can pick up a bag and mail it to you next week (the hobby shop is near work) it would probably be $5 including the shipping.
