The Super Star Smackdown is back, and this time with a whole new sponsor...that infamous manufacturer of power tools, Block+Dodger! It's a whole new Smackdown this year!

ROSTER CREATION:
- 1,100,000 gp for roster builds.
- All of the '24 +2' NAF-approved teams are acceptable, including Slann, Khorne and Bretonnians. (Simyins will not be permitted.)
- Teams must have a minimum 11 players.
- May purchase: team rerolls, assistant coaches, cheerleaders, fan factor, apothecaries/Igors. Cheerleaders, Assistant Coaches, and Apothecaries must have an appropriate model.
- Instead of buying skills, coaches will select their skills before each game, as described below.
- Coaches will have an additional budget of 100,000 gp to spend on POWER TOOLS, as described below.
- No Star Players may be bought. Block+Dodger insists that this is the tournament where Stars are Made, not bought! (But really, they're too cheap to pay the appearance fees.)
- Teams do not have to be painted; however, teams that are fully painted (i.e., every model has at least 3 colours and a painted base) will receive a free +1FF as the crowd loves a good-looking team! (Tournament Organizer will review and confirm this bonus on the day.)

POWER TOOLS!
Block+Dodger has generously provided every team with a free 100,000 gp to spend on Power Tools, chosen from the menu below and using the following rules:
- Teams MUST buy at least 1 Power Tool and assign it to a player on their team, who uses that Tool for the whole tournament.
- There is no bonus or penalty for not spending the whole 100k budget.
- Any player using a Power Tool gains the Loner and Secret Weapon skills in addition to any other skills/stat bonuses.
- Any player given a Power Tool may never be given any other skills.
- Goblin Pogoers, Dark Elf Assassins, and any player that already has the Secret Weapon skill may not be given a Power Tool.
- Power Tools cannot be dropped during a game...the player will have it until they are ejected by the Ref (or injure themselves out of the game)!

- Chainsaw!: 50,000. Gains the Chainsaw skill.
- Ball & Chain!: 30,000. Halve the player's MV (round up); Gains +4ST, and gains Ball & Chain and No Hands skills.
- Bombardier!: 20,000. Gains Bombardier skill.
- Stiletto!: 20,000. Gains Stab skill.
- Bazooka!: 30,000. Gains Strong Arm and Pass skills.
- Pogo Stick!: 30,000. Gains +1MV, and gains the Leap and Very Long Legs skills.

Coaches are strongly encouraged to bring models representing these Power Tools! But boring options like skill rings or rubber bands can also be used.

INDUCEMENTS
- No inducements are permitted, except for Goblins (who may purchase 0-3 Bribes at 50K each) and Halfling Teams (who can purchase 0-1 Master Chef at 100K).

SKILLS
- Each coach will get 3 skill rings to assign to players before a match. (Tournament Organizer will provide coloured rubber bands if coaches don’t have their own skill rings.) The skill rings are:
Either Block OR Wrestle
Either Dodge OR Tackle
Either Guard OR Leader
- The skill can change for each match as can the player it is assigned to.
- You can know your opponent before making your choice.
- You may never assign any skill rings to a player who has been equipped with a Power Tool.
- You cannot know your opponent's skill choices before making your choice (i.e., you could decide to take Tackle once you find out your opponent is Amazons; you cannot wait to find out if your opponent is choosing Dodge as a skill ring before you select Tackle).

OTHER GENERAL RULES:
- This is a Resurrection style tournament.
- Tourney will consist of 3 games. Coaches will be randomly matched for Game 1, and Swiss-style matches for games 2 & 3.
- Coaches will be awarded 3 pts for a Win, 1 point for a Tie, 0 points for a Loss.
- Tiebreakers for the final rankings will be: Goal Differential; Casualty Differential, Most TDs for; Most Casualties For; Votes for Most Sporting.
- The Illegal Procedure rule will not be used.
- Up to 2 hrs per round will be allotted to games.

VENUE
This year's venue will be Snakes & Lattes Midtown, one of Toronto's largest board game cafes. S&L is fully licensed and will be have drinks and food for sale from their menu from 11am onwards (light beverages like tea/fizzy drinks will be for sale from 9am-11am). Lunch can be bought & ordered from Snakes, or Coaches are free to leave the venue for lunch and return. An 18% gratuity will charged by S&L for any food/drink ordered. There will be no cover charge for Coaches.

The venue is easily accessible by subway at Yonge-Eglinton station, or a parking complex is around the corner at 75 Holly St.
